Another change for Besiktas now as Talisca is replaced by Gokhan Inler.
We’re into three minutes of added time.
89'
Olympiakos win a free-kick on the edge of the box after Fortounis was brought down by Tosic 25 yards from goal. Fortounis picks himself up to take the free-kick himself, but strikes it tamely into the wall and Besiktas clear it away from danger.
86'
Olympiakos are still pushing forward in search of a goal, but the intensity of this game has certainly dropped with that goal all but killing off the tie, although the home crowd have certainly got louder again.
84'
C. Tosun has scored a goal for Besiktas! Assist by Talisca.
Talisca has been at the heart of everything good for Besiktas today, and that pass was certainly no different.
GOOOOAAAALLLLLL!!! Cenk all but seals the win for Besiktas!! With Olympiakos stretched at the back, Talisca pokes a through ball into the penalty box for the substitute to chase, and he gets on the end of it before dinking the ball over the onrushing Leali.
82'
C. Tosun enters the game and replaces Ricardo Quaresma.
Quaresma leaves the field to a standing ovation from the home crowd now as he’s replaced by Cenk Tosun.
80'
Olympiakos are throwing men forward now in an attempt to get back into this game, and Figueiras very nearly picks out Elyounoussi at the back post with a wonderful cross, but Gonul just flicks it away from him as he is about to hit a first-time volley.
78'
Leali will be absolutely furious with himself for letting that effort slip through, as Olympiakos have been by far the better side in this second half.
76'
André Martins enters the game and replaces A. Romao.
Olympiakos are reacting immediately to that goal by making a change as Andre Martins replaces Romao.
75'
R. Babel has scored a goal for Besiktas!
GOOOOOOAAAALLLLLL!!!! Babel restores Besiktas’s two goal advantage!! The Dutch winger gets up well in the air to win the header on the edge of the box, before chasing the ball down himself and drilling a low effort toward goal from 15 yards out, and somehow Leali lets the ball get past his outstretched right arm and into the back of the net.
73'
Figueiras gives the ball away cheaply on the edge of the Olympiakos penalty box and Hutchinson brings it away towards the halfway line, but he has very little support and his pass towards Quaresma, who is the only man ahead of him, is cut out and Olympiakos have the ball back once again.
Minute
Description
71'
A. Romao gets yellow.
This game is just starting to become a little bit scrappy now as Romao is shown a yellow card for a cynical trip on Babel. Talisca attempts an ambitious overhead kick from the resultant free-kick but can only fire it high over the bar from 12 yards out.
69'
Marin immediately involved as he plays a neat one-two with Romao on the right-hand side, but the substitute choses to try and beat Adriano instead of getting an early cross in, and the left-back stands up tall and makes a good tackle to regain possession.
67'
M. Marin enters the game and replaces E. Cambiasso.
M. da Costa gets yellow.
An attacking change now for Olympiakos as Cambiasso, who’s been unusually quiet, is replaced by Marko Marin.
Another booking now as Da Costa is shown a yellow card for another poor tackle.
66'
Fortounis has space on the right-hand side and several teammates to aim for, but his cross is a poor one and Besiktas, who are defending with all eleven men behind the ball at times, are easily able to hack it clear. Quaresma then looks to break forward on the counter attack but his cross goes straight out for a goal kick, although he had little support in fairness.
64'
The home crowd certainly haven’t let the red card dampen their spirits, if anything they’re making even more noise in this second half. Their side are looking pretty unlikely to score though but they’re remaining resolute and well organised in defence.
62'
Sebá gets yellow.
Seba, who has only just come onto the field, is shown a yellow card for a foul on Talisca close to halfway. That will frustrate Paulo Bento as it gives Besiktas a chance to regain their composure.
60'
N. Uysal enters the game and replaces O. Özyakup.
That foul will be Ozyakub’s last action of the game as he’s replaced by Necip Uysal.
59'
Super save!! Fortounis once again takes the resultant free-kick and the deep cross looks as though it’s dipping over Fabricio and into the top corner, but the Besiktas keeper backpedals really well and palms it over the bar, colliding with the post in the process.
58'
Ozyakub is shown a yellow card for a late challenge on Cissokho as he looked to break away down the left.
57'
O. Özyakup gets yellow.
56'
Sebá enters the game and replaces G. Manthatis.
A first change for Olympiakos now as Manthatis is replaced by Sebastiao Couto.
CLOSE!! Fortounis whips in the free-kick and it goes all the way through to Talisca on the edge of the six yard box and the ball bounces off his leg and narrowly wide of his own post. He had very little idea about that.
55'
Olympiakos are dominating this game now and they win a free-kick in a good area on the right-hand side after a poor foul from Adriano.
53'
Besiktas with a rare venture into the Olympiakos half now as Ozyakub picks out Quaresma in space on the left-hand touchline, but the winger opts to cut inside onto his right foot and go for goal himself, but just as he’s about to shoot Figueiras sticks out a leg and makes an important tackle.
51'
Chance! Another half-chance for Olympiakos as Fortounis whips in an out-swinging corner from the right-hand side and Da Costa gets up well to meet it eight yards out from goal, but his header is a poor one and glances across the face of goal and out for a goal kick.
49'
Save!! A real scramble on the corner of the six yard box as Elyounoussi just about keeps the ball in play at on the right-hand side and Fabricio comes off his line to try and block the shot and just about does enough to prevent the ball going in, although he needed the help of several defenders behind him to clear it away.
47'
Talisca goes down after a clumsy challenge from Da Costa close to half way and he proceeds to take his time getting back to hit feet. You sense Besiktas will not be rushing too much as long as the scoreline stays as it is.
46'
Kick-off! Besiktas get the second half underway, looking to hold on to their slender advantage.
45'
There’s going to be just one minute of added time as the boos continue to ring out around the stadium at a deafening level.
43'
It looks as though Besiktas have settled into what is almost a 5-3-1 formation without the ball, and Olympiakos are enjoying their best spell of possession of the half so far, although they are struggling to create anything meaningful as yet with so many bodies behind the ball.
41'
Quaresma is receiving instructions from the Besiktas management team now as they try and work out how best to cope without Aboubakar. You feel it could have a pretty big impact on the game as Olympiakos were starting to grow into the game after their goal anyway.
39'
V. Aboubakar goes off after a red card!
RED CARD!! Aboubakar is sent off!! The Besiktas striker is sent off for a head-butt on Retsos off the ball. Referee Michael Oliver appeared to miss it initially but consulted with his assistants and showed the striker a straight red card.
37'
Ozyakub this time drives forward towards the Olympiakos penalty box and looks to roll the ball into the path of Quaresma who’s made a good overlapping run on the right-hand side, but the pass is asking a little too much of the winger and Cissokho makes a good sliding intervention to cut out the danger.
35'
The game has suddenly opened up as Cissokho's cross is well cleared by Adriano at one end, before Quaresma breaks forward at the other and goes down under a challenge from Talisca inside the Olympiakos penalty box, but it looked like a petty soft challenge and Michael Oliver calls for the winger to get back to his feet.
33'
Unsurprisingly that goal, which really came out of nowhere, appears to have given Olympiakos a lift in confidence but it has only intensified the boos from the home crowd whenever they have the ball.
31'
T. Elyounoussi has scored a goal for Olympiakos! Assist by A. Cissokho.
The finish was superb from Elyounoussi but the cross from Cissokho was equally as good to pick him out.
GOOAAAAALLLLLLL!!! What a goal from Elyounoussi!!! Aly Cissokho swings in a deep cross from the left-hand side towards Elyounoussi at the back post, and the winger peels away from Adriano and hits an acrobatic scissor-kick towards goal, which deflects off the left-back and beats Fabricio at the near post.
28'
Besiktas surge forward once again through Hutchinson and Talisca in midfield before the latter plays a crisp ball towards Oguzhan Ozyakub who is in space on the edge of the box, but the pass just eludes him and rolls out for goal kick. The flag had gone up again the Besiktas captain anyway.
26'
Close!! Retsos gives the ball away straight to Aboubakar on the edge of his own box, but Leali does superbly well to come off his line and deny the striker with a good one-on-one save, although referee Michael Oliver’s whistle had gone for a foul on the Olympiakos teenager. in the build up.
24'
That goal means the game won’t be going to extra time or penalties, and Olympiakos will need to score twice without conceding in order to progress.
22'
R. Babel has scored a goal for Besiktas! Assist by Ricardo Quaresma.
GOOOOAAALLLLLL!!!! Ryan Babel doubles the lead! the winger controls a low cross from Quaresma just inside the penalty box and keeps his cool to strike a low effort towards goal from 12 yards out, and it squirms under the body of Leali, who really should’ve done better!
Quaresma’s cross wasn’t easy for Babel to control as it bobbled towards him, but he did well to take his time in acres of space before getting the shot away.
21'
This time the long ball forward very nearly does come off for Olympiakos as Elyounoussi brings the ball down on his chest on the edge of the box and tries to take it round Fabricio, but the goalkeeper does well to get his hands to it and gather it in.
19'
Fortounis has space on the ball just inside his own half and looks to pick out Elyounoussi on the right-hand touchline with a long cross-field pass, but the pass is a poor one and is easily intercepted by Adriano.
17'
Besiktas work the ball patiently around the back four before Atiba Hutchinson plays the ball forward into Quaresma, but the Portuguese winger loses possession and goes to ground having run into an opponent, but referee Michael Oliver ignores his appeals for a free-kick. The home side really are controlling this game at the minute though.
14'
Olympiakos are struggling to get on the ball for any length of time at the moment and have resorted to long balls forward on a couple of occasions already, but Besiktas have dealt with them easily so far.
12'
The home crowd are still persisting with the whistles whenever Olympiakos have the ball, but they’re certainly cheering their own side on when they have possession following that goal.
10'
V. Aboubakar has scored a goal for Besiktas! Assist by Talisca.
GOOOAALLLLL!!! Aboubakar heads Besiktas in front. Talisca swings in a left-footed cross from the right-hand side and Aboubakar is completely unmarked six yards out from goal, allowing him to easily head the ball past Leali.
The cross was a perfect one from Talisca, but the defending was pretty woeful.
9'
Aboubakar causing problems once again as he turns Manuel da Costa superbly down the left-hand edge of the box and creates space to get a cross in, but it’s well blocked by the Besiktas defender in the end.
7'
Save! Ricardo Quaresma curls the free-kick over the wall and towards the top corner but Nicola Leali springs high to his left and palms the ball away, although in truth he made the save look far more difficult than it actually was.
6'
Talisca plays a long ball forward for Vincent Aboubakar to chase and the striker is barged to ground by Panagiotis Retsos who made no attempt to play the ball and Besiktas have a free-kick 30 yards out from goal.
4'
Kostas Fortounis steals the ball away from Besiktas in midfield and picks out Tarik Elyounoussi in space on the left-hand side, but the winger’s cross is well blocked by Matej Mitrovic before Besiktas easily clear the resultant corner.
2'
Esteban Cambiasso plays the ball over the top for Karim Ansarifard to chase, but he puts too much on the pass and Fabricio Ramirez is able to come off his line and gather the ball in easily. The Besiktas fans certainly aren’t going to make this an easy game for Olympiakos, booing loudly every time they have possession.
1'
Kick-off! Olympiakos get the game underway.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Europa League last 16 second leg tie between Besiktas and Olympiakos at the Vodafone Arena.
The tie is finely poised following a 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Karaiskakis Stadium, with Vincent Aboubakar cancelling out Esteban Cambiasso’s first half header.
Besiktas do have a slight advantage though having scored an away goal, and come into the game in good form having lost just once in their last 12 matches in all competitions.
Like Besiktas, Olympiakos are top of their domestic league, however their recent form has been somewhat inconsistent, having won just two of their last five fixtures, including the first leg draw.
They did though progress to this stage of the competition thanks to a second leg win over Turkish opposition in the last 32, beating Osmanlispor 3-0 away from home having been held to a goalless draw in the first leg.
Besiktas make just three changes from their last match, a 2-2 draw with Kayserispor, as Andreas Beck, Marcelo and Cenk Tosun all drop out of the side. Gokhan Gonul, Matej Mitrovic and Ricardo Quaresma come into the team, with Vincent Aboubakar switching from the right wing to play as a central striker.
Olympiakos manager Paulo Bento makes six changes to his side that beat Atromitos last time out, with Panagiotis Retsos, Manuel Da Costa, Esteban Cambiasso and Kostas Fortounis all keeping their places, along with goalkeeper Nicola Leali.
Besiktas have drawn all three of their competitive matches against Greek opposition previously, but a goalless draw would be enough to see them through to the quarter-finals today by virtue of their away goal.
The players are making their way out onto the pitch, led by referee Michael Oliver. Kick-off is not far away now.
Half-time: Besiktas 2-1 Olympiakos
Besiktas lead 2-1 at the break and subsequently lead 3-2 on aggregate, but they will be nowhere near as comfortable as they were after half an hour, having gone 2-0 up thanks to goals from Aboubakar and Babel. Elyounoussi pulled one back with an acrobatic effort before Aboubakar was sent off for a head-butt off the ball on Retsos and the visitors dominated the final few minutes of the half.
Besiktas switched to a pretty defensive formation following Aboubakar’s red card, and Seno Gunes may well keep it the same after the break and hope his side can either hold on to the 2-1 advantage, or hit Olympiakos on the counter. Paulo Bento meanwhile will want his players to stay patient now that they have a man advantage, with one more goal enough to see them progress.
Full-time! Besiktas 4-1 Olympiakos
It’s all over at the Vodafone Arena and Besiktas have secured their place in the Europa League quarter-finals with a 5-1 aggregate win over Olympiakos. It was far from straight forward for the Turkish side as they hand to withstand large amounts of pressure in the second half following Vincent Aboubakar’s red card, but late goals from Ryan Babel and Cenk Tosun eased the pressure and ensured Seno Gunes’s side would progress.
That's all from us for today, thanks for joining us and we hope to see you again soon.
