There goes the final whistle and Leicester have the three points!
90' +3
D. Gray enters the game and replaces J. Vardy.
A distraught Vardy limps to the sidelines and is replaced by Demarai Gray, who makes his trademark substitute appearance. In fact, only Hal Robson-Kanu and Shane Long appeared more times from the bench in last season's Premier League!
90' +1
We are now into the first of four additional minutes at the end of this match, but Vardy is clearly struggling as he goes to ground once again. Shakespeare will be hoping that it is just fatigue as opposed to something more serious.
90'
March does get a shot on goal from the edge of the area, but it is easy enough for Schmeichel to gather at his near post.
89'
The visitors are desperately trying to make something happen in the dying minutes of this game as they look to go long towards Hemed. They look tired now, though, and overhitting those attempted balls which go aimlessly behind for a goal-kick.
87'
Yes, they have suffered two defeats and failed to score in their opening two Premier League matches, but Brighton will not be panicking just yet. However, it does appear that the acquisition of a striker is essential before the transfer window closes. The Seagulls have now scored just once in five league games.
85'
Vardy is taking a moment to gather himself after a strong but fair challenge on the edge of the Brighton area. He may have to wait to reach 100 league goals, but the England striker has put in another good shift for his side today.
83'
It may only be the second match of the new season, but this will be a very important three points for Leicester, whose next two league games are against high-flying Manchester United and reigning champions Chelsea.
81'
Leicester look set to make it 13 home matches unbeaten against newly promoted opposition in the Premier League - their last defeat was a 5-0 rout by Bolton Wanderers in August 2001 - while it will be one win in 30 top-flight games away from home for Brighton.
79'
There is a slight break in play as Morgan stays down following a Brighton corner. The Leicester skipper takes time to gather himself but is soon back on his feet.
Minute
Description
78'
The Algerian, who was linked with a move to Watford this week, endured a difficult first season in England after his £29 million transfer from Sporting CP. However, a goal in the first home match of the new campaign would certainly boost his confidence.
76'
I. Slimani enters the game and replaces S. Okazaki.
Okazaki has put in a typically hardworking performance today and is given a rest by Shakespeare. Islam Slimani comes on in his place for the final 14 minutes.
74'
However, the visitors are almost caught out at the other end as Mahrez is left unmarked to receive Albrighton's square ball in the box. Fortunately, they have bodies back to deflect his effort behind for a corner.
73'
Hemed looks to make something happen for Brighton by trying his luck from 25 yards, and Schmeichel has to get down to his right to make a smart save.
70'
Simpson earns a big cheer from the home crowd after skillfully moving away from a challenge. Ironically, the only league goal of the right-back's career came when playing under Hughton for Newcastle United against Peterborough in November 2009.
68'
Albrighton's free-kick deflects off Knockaert and behind for a corner, but Brighton defend well and are still in with a chance of snatching a point as we head into the final quarter of the game.
66'
T. Hemed enters the game and replaces G. Murray.
Maguire embarks on a strong run forward from the heart of defence and draws Bruno into a foul right on the edge of the Brighton box. Leicester could put the game to bed here...
Murray has cut a generally isolated figure as the lone striker today, although he should have put that chance away a few minutes ago. He is given a breather by his manager and replaced by Tomer Hemed.
64'
Now, Knockaert will be aiming to make a positive impact on his return to the King Power, where he made 106 appearances during three years with the Foxes and helped them gain promotion to the Premier League in 2014.
62'
A. Knockaert enters the game and replaces P. Groß.
That was Gross' last action of the game, as he goes off to be replaced by former Leicester winger Anthony Knockaert. The German covered more distance than any other player on matchweek one of the new season, but it just hasn't happened for him today.
CHANCE! The visitors go forward again with Gross and March before the latter's cross finds Murray in the box. However, he cannot connect cleanly and the chance goes begging.
60'
Brighton look to respond immediately and force a corner, but are in danger of being hit on the counter attack with Vardy leading the charge from Schmeichel's gather and throw out. He finds Mahrez, who shows great footwork on the edge of the area but is eventually stopped in his tracks by a strong challenge.
57'
Maguire said this week that he is targeting an England call-up this season ahead of next year's FIFA World Cup Finals. If the 24-year-old can build on his strong start to life as a Leicester player, it may not be long before Gareth Southgate is on the phone!
54'
H. Maguire has scored a goal for Leicester City! Assist by R. Mahrez.
LEICESTER DOUBLE THEIR LEAD!!! MAGUIRE HEADS HOME! The £17 million signing gets his first goal for the Foxes after rising highest in the box to head Mahrez's corner beyond the dive of Ryan. Leicester have breathing space!
Mahrez was involved once again with a pinpoint delivery from his corner that was perfect for Maguire to head home.
53'
The signing from Ajax has endured a fairly quiet Premier League debut thus far, and will be eager to make a positive impact for his new employers before too long.
51'
Jeers ring around the King Power as Propper avoids having his name taken despite catching Vardy on the follow-through of his challenge.
50'
W. Morgan gets yellow.
Morgan is shown the first yellow card of the game after catching Murphy late. That is two bookings in two games for the Leicester skipper, who also had his name taken against Arsenal last week.
48'
Brighton have started brightly in the second half and asked a couple of questions of the Leicester defence already. Hughton will be urging his players for more of the same as the clock continues to tick.
46'
KICK-OFF! The referee blows his whistle and Brighton get the ball rolling once more.
45' +2
Both players receive attention from the medical teams but are back on their feet and into the action. With that, the referee blows for half-time.
45'
OUCH! We have a break in play here after Okazaki collided with Duffy in the air. The Brighton defender went into the challenge with force, but appears to have come off worse.
43'
Vardy is renowned for his goalscoring exploits but he is also very influential when it comes to assists. In fact, since the start of the 2014/15 season, James Milner is the only English player to have provided more assists than the former Fleetwood striker.
41'
CHANCE! Vardy and Okazaki combine again with the latter latching onto the former's inviting cross, but just being unable to direct the ball towards the target.
40'
Hughton looks on from the sidelines and his side are very much in this contest at just 1-0 behind. He will be eager to get his players in at half-time now and get them refocused after the break.
37'
The former Aston Villa winger's delivery was pivotal in two of Leicester's three goals against Arsenal on the opening day of the new season. Should Mahrez stay, the Foxes have plenty of potential on both wings to provide frequent opportunities for Vardy and Okazaki during the campaign, as they aim to improve on a generally disappointing title defence.
35'
Leicester have a couple of bites at it, but Albrighton's second delivery is just too high for his teammates and goes behind for a goal-kick.
33'
At the other end, Albrighton embarks on a strong run from the left wing to the edge of the penalty area. However, he appears to take one touch too many and his eventual shot is blocked by Stephens. Corner for Leicester...!
30'
That may have come to nothing but the visitors will take positives from that attack. They are slowly starting to ask more questions of their opponents going forward, but need to be more clinical.
28'
NO PENALTY! Brighton appeal as a fierce shot strikes a Leicester player in the box, but the referee remains unmoved on this occasion.
25'
Murray was Brighton's main talisman last season with 23 goals helping them to promotion. However, Hughton will now be looking for his striker to emulate those figures to strengthen his side's chances of survival this term.
23'
THE BALL IS IN THE NET, BUT IT'S OFFSIDE! Brighton embark on their first real venture forward and Murray latches onto a lofted ball, before neatly volleying beyond Schmeichel. However, he just started his run too early and is rightly ruled offside.
22'
Vardy's pace is likely to see him get plenty of opportunities in this game. The England striker is also on the brink of a personal landmark - just two goals away from 100 in English league football.
20'
BRAVE GOALKEEPING! Okazaki looks for Vardy with a neat through ball, but Ryan is quickly out of goal to bravely throw himself in the way and block. He has taken a whack in the face for his troubles, but should be alright to continue.
18'
The visitors just cannot keep the ball! It is clear that they are feeling the pressure as passes keep going astray and invite Leicester to attack once more. Hughton will be urging his players to settle down and just play their normal game.
16'
GREAT BLOCKS! A mistake in the Brighton defence is pounced upon by Okazaki, who darts into the area before laying the ball across for Vardy. However, the England striker is denied not once, but twice by the committed Duffy.
13'
The Seagulls are slowly finding their feet in this contest. They are forcing their way into the match by knocking the ball around and keeping possession, before March's shot on goal is well blocked.
11'
Mind, visiting the King Power was always going to be a tough opening assignment away from home for Brighton. After all, Leicester have lost just one of their last 10 matches here.
9'
Brighton have found themselves pegged deep inside their own half inside these opening 10 minutes. Leicester have made a very purposeful start and showed no mercy to their newly promoted opponents.
7'
During the week, Shakespeare praised Mahrez for his focus despite the never-ending transfer speculation linking him with a move away from the King Power. He certainly looks committed to the cause so far today.
5'
Leicester continue their early pressure with Mahrez swinging a free-kick in from the right. His delivery is met by Morgan, who is unable to direct his header on target and Brighton survive on this occasion.
3'
STAT ATTACK! The Japanese striker finds the net for the second week running and is just one goal from equalling his Premier League tally for the whole of the 2016/17 campaign!
1'
S. Okazaki has scored a goal for Leicester City!
KICK-OFF! The referee blows his whistle and Leicester get the match underway at the King Power!
WHAT A START!!! OKAZAKI PUTS LEICESTER IN FRONT! It's a nightmare start for Brighton, who fall behind inside 60 seconds! Mahrez is allowed far too much space out on the right and cuts inside into the penalty area. Ryan can only parry his left-footed shot on goal into the path of Okazaki, who makes no mistake in mopping up from six yards out.
Meanwhile, Chris Hughton makes three changes from Brighton's 2-0 defeat by Manchester City last weekend. There is debut for new signing Davy Propper, who replaces Masato Morishige in the middle of the park, but this game has come too soon for record signing Jose Izquierdo. Jamie Murphy makes his first Premier League as he comes in on the wing for Izzy Brown, who picked up a hamstring injury against City, while Glenn Murray is preferred to Tomer Hemed in attack. The Isreali striker drops to the bench alongside former Leicester winger Anthony Knockaert.
Leicester were impressive in their narrow 4-3 defeat by Arsenal on the opening day, so it is no surprise that Craig Shakespeare names an unchanged starting 11 at the King Power. That means Riyad Mahrez keeps his place on the right wing despite constant speculation linking him with a move to AS Roma, while Shinji Okazaki partners Jamie Vardy up front. Matty James is alongside Wilfred Ndidi in the heart of midfield, with Danny Drinkwater and Victor Iborra ruled out through injury. New signing Kelechi Iheanacho misses out with a toe injury, but former Brighton striker Leonardo Ulloa takes his place on the bench.
This is the first top-flight meeting between the two sides since April 1981 and 30th overall. Brighton shade the head-to-head record with 13 wins to Leicester's 11 and would love to maintain their superiority by claiming their first Premier League points here.
