José María Giménez is shown a yellow card for arguing with the referee late on.
90'
There will be a minimum of two minutes added time played here.
88'
Espanyol are comfortably seeing this game out now, the hosts aren't putting them under much pressure and the visitors are just taking their time and soaking up the final few moments of the match.
85'
This result means that Real Madrid could close the gap on Atletico to just one point if they can beat Barcelona this evening. Meanwhile Espanyol will move up to 15th in LaLiga on 40 points with this victory.
83'
José Jurado enters the game and replaces Gerard Moreno.
The visitors make their third and final substitution, Gerard Moreno is replaced by José Manuel Jurado.
81'
Any intent and confidence has now gone from Atletico, they are struggling to get a touch on the ball and you have to give a lot of credit to Espanyol who have played very well this afternoon, especially in the second half.
78'
Sergio García enters the game and replaces Óscar Melendo.
Another change now for Espanyol, just before the restart and it's Melendo who is coming off and his replacement is Sergio García.
77'
Léo Baptistão has scored a goal for Espanyol! Assist by Óscar Melendo.
GOOOAAALLL ESPANYOL DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! A superb finish by Leo Baptistao, his first touch was perfect, he then fired a powerful effort at goal from the edge of the penalty area which had Oblak beaten, finishing up in the bottom corner. Surely they have wrapped up the three points now and not many would've expected this result today.
Melendo spotted his teammate in a better position, teeing up Leo Baptistao perfectly and the finish was superb.
76'
The home supporters are starting to grow more and more frustrated now as their side appear to lack ideas going forward and haven't really looked like scoring today. They certainly won't want to lose their unbeaten home record so late on in the season, especially given that this is their first campaign in their new home.

Description
74'
Óscar Melendo gets yellow.
The referee shows a yellow card to Melendo after he dragged Thomas down, who was breaking forward on the counter-attack.
73'
Marc Roca enters the game and replaces Darder.
Espanyol now make their first substitution of the game, with Sergi Darder coming off and he has been replaced by Marc Roca.
67'
Oblak is down in some pain at the moment, whilst making the save to deny Moreno he took a hefty hit from the striker. It doesn't look serious and he seems fine to continue. The hosts don't want another injury scare ahead of the Europa League final.
66'
GREAT CHANCE! Espanyol with a brilliant opportunity to make it 2-0! Leo Baptistao beat his man, cut into the box and fired a low shot at goal which is well saved by Oblak, but the rebound then falls straight to the feet of Moreno, who powers it at goal. However, Oblak once again makes a terrific save at the feet of the Espanyol man.
65'
Gabi enters the game and replaces Filipe Luís.
Atletico make their third and final change of the afternoon, with Filipe Luis the man coming off and he has been replaced by Gabi.
63'
Since taking the lead, Espanyol have barely touched the ball and are being put under a lot more pressure by Atletico. The visitors are taking their time with every set piece and throw-in now, just running down the clock.
61'
Dídac Vilá gets yellow.
Pau López gets yellow.
Atletico had a corner, which Pau López struggled to gather in the air, he dropped the ball and Gameiro had a decent chance at goal. The goalkeeper is furious that he wasn't awarded a free-kick, but there didn't seem to be anything wrong with the challenge in the box, he just mistimes his catch! The referee shows him a yellow card for his protests.
Dídac Vilá is also shown a yellow card for his appeals to the referee for a free-kick.
60'
Atletico are dominating possession now, with Espanyol being forced to sit deeper and deeper as the visitors try and force their way back into the game.
58'
Could Simeone be tempted to bring on Griezmann in order to try and get back into this game? The striker was key in their midweek victory over Arsenal and the Atletico manager probably wouldn't have wanted to have to call on his services today.
53'
S. Savić is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
GOOOAAALLL ESPANYOL LEAD! Melendo with a deflected shot from the edge of the box puts the visitors in front! However, it could easily go down as an own goal as Savic got a huge touch on the ball. The defender was trying to block the shot and head the ball out of play for a corner, after Melendo's effort looked on target. However, Savic gets it all wrong and heads it into the back of the net! Oblak was already diving in the other direction to save the original effort, so had no chance of stopping that.
52'
CLOSE! Saul rises above his marker and the Espanyol keeper in the box, almost getting his head onto the ball and diverting it into an empty net. Lopez, the Espanyol keeper, didn't get enough of the ball there and he almost got caught out by the Atletico man.
50'
Javi Lopez fires an effort at goal from long range, but the shot doesn't have enough power behind it and Oblak comfortably gathers the ball, then sets Atletico on another attack.
48'
Atletico have started the second half the brighter of the two sides, showing more attacking intent but Espanyol look very comfortable at the back and still don't look overly troubled by the hosts. However, due to the amount of quality that Atletico have in their side, that can change in an instant so the visitors need to be constantly on their toes.
46'
Saúl enters the game and replaces Koke.
Atletico have made a change ahead of the second half, with Koke replaced by Saúl. The captains armband has now been handed to Fernando Torres.
The second half is underway!
45'
That's the half-time whistle!
43'
The heat could be playing a part here, with both teams lacking any intensity to their game and it is almost being played at a pedestrian pace at the moment. Both teams will be looking forward to the break now, when they can regroup, rest and hopefully show more attacking intent in the second period.
40'
Although Atletico cannot catch Barcelona at the top of the table, they could yet lose second place with Real Madrid just four points behind them in the table, who face Barcelona in the El Clasico later this evening.
38'
Not long to go until the break now, can either side nick a goal and give their team the advantage heading into the second half? Both sides have only had the one chance to score so far in this half, with attacking opportunities few and far between.
35'
Espanyol will certainly be the happier of the two sides here, they have had the better chance of the game to open the scoring and are looking pretty comfortable, with Atletico struggling to get on the ball and break them down, as we know that they can.
30'
OFF THE POST! Espanyol go incredibly close to taking the lead here! Moreno with a long range effort and Oblak produces a superb save to tip the ball onto the post, as it was certainly heading into the bottom corner. The striker cut inside from the right and shifted the ball onto his left foot, the Atleti defence failed to close him down quickly enough so he fired an effort at goal and came very close to handing his side the lead.
28'
Vitolo seems to have suffered a muscle injury, he is now sat on the bench with a large ice pack around his thigh. With the Europa League final not too far away, Simeone hasn't taken any risks here by taking the winger off.
26'
A. Sané enters the game and replaces Vitolo.
Atletico are forced into making an early substitution here, it looks like Vitolo has sustained an injury so he has been replaced by Arona Sané.
22'
CHANCE! We have the first opportunity of the game and it falls to Atletico! The hosts break forward quickly and stretch the Espanyol defence, they play it across to the right, with Vitolo firing an effort at goal from the edge of the box, but his shot goes just wide of the goal. However, Gameiro wasn't too far away from poking that home either, he gambled that his teammate would aim for the far post and almost got a toe on the ball. Much better football.
20'
Gameiro tries to inject a little pace here, he does well down the left and beats his man thanks to a bit of luck, but as soon as he cuts inside his options are limited, so he has to go backwards and it totally takes any intensity out of the attack. However credit to Espanyol, who are putting the Atletico players under a lot of pressure when they are on the ball and they are making it difficult for the hosts.
17'
Neither side has troubled the two goalkeepers so far, it's a very scrappy and slow game, with the two teams struggling to enjoy a sustained spell of possession in order to mount any attacks. We need an injection of pace here.
12'
Atletico are struggling to string a few passes together at the moment, it's all Espanyol right now and the hosts are barely getting out of their own half. A few of the Atletico players look tired and they are lacking any urgency to their play, much to the displeasure of Diego Simeone on the sidelines.
10'
The atmosphere is terrific inside the Wanda Metropolitano, with the supporters enjoying the stunning weather and perfect football conditions this afternoon.
8'
The first corner of the game goes to Espanyol, their centre-backs make their way forward, but the ball into the area is poor and Atletico easily clear the danger. Not much pace to the game at the moment, neither side look eager to go and score an early goal.
5'
Much better from Espanyol in the last couple of minutes, they've grown into the game and started to enjoy some possession of their own. They have huge quality in their squad and it's a surprise to see them so far down the LaLiga table, they just haven't reached the levels expected of them this season.
3'
Early dominance here by Atletico as you would expect from the home side, they are comfortably playing the ball around the pitch and making Espanyol chase the game at the moment.

Atletico Madrid overcame Arsenal on Thursday in the Europa League to progress into another European final as they aim to claim their first piece of silverware since 2014. Switching focus to this afternoon's LaLiga game, Diego Simeone’s side are unbeaten in the league at home this season, an impressive feat in their new stadium, the Wanda Metropolitano. Another victory will strengthen their grip on second place behind champions Barcelona.
Atletico are 11 points adrift of Barcelona and with three games remaining before the end of the season, they will be wary of rivals Real Madrid who are only four points behind them in the table.
Espanyol have caused a couple of upsets this season. They've beaten Barcelona, Real Madrid and were 1-0 winners in the reverse fixture against Atletico. Although all of these victories have come at home and they haven't been as successful on the road, resulting in a poor season overall as they occupy 16th position.
HALF-TIME: ATLETICO 0-0 ESPANYOL
A game with very few chances so far, it certainly hasn't been a classic and much improvement is needed by both teams in the second half. Vitolo had the best opportunity for Atletico, dragging his shot just wide of the far post. Whilst Moreno forced Oblak into making a superb save at the other end of the pitch, he had to tip the ball onto the post in order to deny the Espanyol striker an almost certain goal.
FULL-TIME: ATLETICO 0-2 ESPANYOL
That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
Espanyol inflict Atletico's first league defeat of the season at the Wanda Metropolitano. The hosts can't have any complaints as they were second best for the majority of the game, with Espanyol taking their chances and ultimately showing more desire to win the game than their opponents. Melendo got lucky with the opener, a huge deflection off Savic took his effort into the back of the net. However, Leo Baptistao then scored a terrific goal to double Espanyol's lead, wrapping up the three points for the visitors.
