GOAL!! It is 1-0 Tottenham! The visitors finally make the breakthrough and it is that man again. Kane could hardly miss as he headed home Dier's cross from six yards out. The young defender picked his head up out wide and delivered a perfect ball for Kane to convert into the bottom left corner.

12'
Everton are really struggling to find any way out of their own half. Eriksen picks up the ball inbetween the lines and plays through Kane but a sliding tackle from John Stones denies his international compatriot a shot on goal. The resulting corner comes to nothing as Fazio fails to connect with a meaningful header.
10'
Everton break up the other end with Leon Osman getting to the touch-line however his cross was comfortable for Hugo Lloris. Up the other end Ryan Mason charges into the penalty area and is shut out through a combination of three Everton players, his claims for a penalty are waved away by Jonathan Moss.
8'
Spurs were inches away from breaking through the Everton defence. Christian Eriksen played a nice one-two with Nacer Chadli however the Belgian's return pass was ahead of the Danish playmaker and Howard was able to smother the ball.
6'
Tottenham continue to be on the front foot early. The Everton defence stood off and allowed Erik Lamela to try his luck from distance. His left footed effort was never going to trouble Howard, but they will not want to give the Argentine that kind of space too often.
4'
Not much happening in the early exchanges. Tottenham have seen more of the ball but have not found the penetrating final pass. Bentaleb tries to find Harry Kane with a deep cross but it is too close to Tim Howard.
2'
It looks as though Tottenham are sticking to their usual formation with four at the back. Algerian international Nabil Bentaleb has been given the role of filling in following the absense of Danny Rose and Ben Davies.

Everton get us started here kicking from right to left.
Hello, good afternoon and welcome to our live text coverage of today’s Barclays Premier League fixture between Everton and Tottenham Hotspur. I’m Kyle Hancox and I will be talking you through the action at Goodison Park as both teams look to finish their campaigns with a win.
Subs: Robles, Distin, Besic, Naismith, Atsu, McGeady, Kone
Tottenham (3-5-1-1): Lloris; Dier, Fazio, Vertonghen; Chadli, Bentaleb, Dembele, Mason, Lamela; Eriksen; Kane
Subs: Vorm, Yedlin, Onomah, Stambouli, Townsend, Winks, Soldado
Everton boss Roberto Martinez makes one change to his side following their 2-1 win over West Ham. Aaron Lennon, on-loan from Tottenham, is ineligible and replaced by Kevin Mirallas. Leighton Baines is still out with an ankle problem so 19-year-old academy graduate Brendan Galloway continues at left-back in just his second appearance for the club.
A win today would see the Toffees secure their ninth straight top ten finish in the Premier League, following a poor start to the campaign. A good run of form that saw Martinez’s men go unbeaten in nine league matches at Goodison Park, before their 2-0 defeat to Sunderland, pulled them away from any relegation trouble. Having not lost at home to Spurs in the league since the 2006/07 season they will be hopeful of a good result to end a disappointing season on a high.
The only change for the visitors see’s Moussa Dembele come in for the injured Danny Rose. It looks as though they will line up with three at the back but Nacer Chadli or Nabil Bentaleb could be asked to fill in at left-back. Four of Spurs’ starting 11 have come through the academy and two more youngsters, Joshua Onomah and Harry Winks, are named on the bench today, both hoping to make their first league appearance for the club.
Tottenham’s Champions League hopes faded with a wimper following a run of form that saw them win just one in six before their 2-1 victory over Hull last weekend. That run of form has coincided with a recent lack of goals from Harry Kane. The PFA Young Player of the Year has scored 30 goals in all competitions for Spurs, but just one in his last seven outings. A win today would make it two on spin for Pochettino’s men and could see them move up to fifth if Liverpool fail to beat Stoke.
Goodison Park rises as the teams arrive from the tunnel. The pre-game routines are over and we are ready for kick-off.
HALF TIME: Everton 0-1 Tottenham: Everton are booed off as Harry Kane scores his 21st Premier League goal of the season to give Tottenham a deserved lead, in a game they have dominated since the off.
It has been all Tottenham in the first half here. Kane's goal separates the two sides but it could easily be two or three but for Howard and some resolute defending from Stones and Jagielka. Everton have had their moments through Mirallas but they have been few and far between for the home side.
The players are coming back out for the second half. Muhamed Besic comes on for Ross Barkley who was struggled in the opening 45 minutes.
So that is the end of another Premier League season. Tottenham have cemented their fifth place finish thanks to their win this afternoon and Liverpool's hammering at Stoke. They will be looking to go one better next season and break into the top four but there is a lot for Pochettino to smile about after his first season in charge at White Hart Lane. Not least the performances of Harry Kane who got the goal today.
For Everton and Roberto Martinez it was a season that promised much and delivered very little. Apart from a 15 minute spell at the start of the second half they never really got going. Following last season this campaign will be a huge disappointment for everyone involved. Everton finish 11th in the table. The first time in nine years they have done that. They also finish below 50 points for the first time since 2004.
That is all from Goodison Park as Tottenham win away to Everton for the first time since 2007. Thanks for joining our live text coverage of this final game of the season. Goodbye.
