Arsene Wenger surveys the scene with a grim look on his face. He gets up off the bench, zips up his jacket (in one smooth stroke), and prepares to face an unsympathetic media horde and quite a few furious fans.
88'
I'd almost forgot that Arsenal were in this game. They put together a nifty little passing move against Bayern, leading to a Bellerin shot from inside the penalty area that flies narrowly wide.
85'
A. Vidal has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by Douglas Costa.
He was played in behind the defence and was unselfish to set up Vidal.
IT'S FIVE! Vidal is on the scoresheet again, collecting a pass from Costa to slot into an empty net. No mercy from Bayern.
83'
The fans are filing out of the Emirates Stadium in droves, and the only voices are those from the travelling support. The humiliation isn't over yet though.
80'
A. Vidal has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by Xabi Alonso.
Alonso set that one in motion.
IT'S FOUR! Bayern are stumbling over themselves to score, as they press high and win the ball in the Arsenal half. Vidal is clean through, and makes no mistake with the finish.
79'
J. Kimmich enters the game and replaces Thiago Alcântara.
Renato Sanches enters the game and replaces F. Ribéry.
Thiago is replaced by Kimmich.
Ribery will head off and on comes Renato Sanches.
Xhaka is the latest player to be booked.
78'
G. Xhaka gets yellow.
Douglas Costa has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by Rafinha.
Rafinha played the early pass down the line.
COSTA ADDS A THIRD! Bayern break on the counter and they outnumber the Gunners rather glaringly. Mustafi is no match for Costa, who skips past him and curls an admirable finish home.
77'
HEAVY TOUCH! Walcott clutches his face after losing the ball on the edge of the area, but the referee stands pat as Bayern release Lewandowski on the break. He was through on Ospina, but a bad first touch handed it to the keeper.
76'
OFF THE POST! Douglas Costa, fresh off the bench, has too much speed for Bellerin, accelerating past the full-back to square for Lewandowski, who strikes the base of the woodwork on the slide.
74'
The home fans are unhappy after an apparent opportunity for the referee to play advantage is squashed as he brings play back for a foul on Oxlade-Chamberlain. Just over 15 minutes to go.

Description
73'
Third change from Wenger as Lucas Perez steps in for Alexis Sanchez.
72'
Lucas Pérez enters the game and replaces A. Sánchez.
F. Coquelin enters the game and replaces A. Ramsey.
M. Özil enters the game and replaces O. Giroud.
Ramsey is off and Coquelin is on.
Ozil also returns to action in place of Giroud.
71'
Douglas Costa enters the game and replaces A. Robben.
That goal was the way for Robben to sign off from this game. On comes Douglas Costa.
It's now 7-2 on aggregate to Bayern and at this point, it's simply a matter of how much misery the Germans want to inflict on the Gunners. The second half has been played almost entirely in Arsenal's half.
68'
A. Robben has scored a goal for Bayern Munich!
THERE'S ANOTHER ONE! Ospina's clearance is poor, and presents Bayern with the chance to attack quickly. Arsenal come out second best in about three challenges as Robben skips ahead of Sanchez to prod home.
67'
Strange sequence as the ball is played over the top for Lewandowski, who is offside but doesn't touch the ball. Time seems to stand still as Robben and Ospina race for it, with the former rounding the latter before his cross is deflected out.
66'
SAVED BY OSPINA! Lewandowski and Vidal combine to carve Arsenal apart, and the striker hammers his shot right at the Colombian keeper, who sticks up two hands to divert it over the bar.
64'
Clever flick from Thiago to deceive the Arsenal defence and get Lewandowski in the air at the near post, but the striker can't add to his tally as he guides his header onto the roof of the net.
61'
A. Oxlade-Chamberlain gets yellow.
Oxlade-Chamberlain bursts through the centre, beating one man and then two, but is robbed of the ball by the covering Rafinha. He trips the Brazilian and screams at the referee when he calls a foul, earning a yellow for dissent.
58'
Bahyern must surely be licking their lips now for the remaining half-hour. They were already looking the superior side in the second half, and now have an undermanned and demoralised Arsenal to feast on.
55'
Penalty goal scored by R. Lewandowski for Bayern Munich!
LEWANDOWSKI SCORES! The Polish striker calmly sends Ospina the wrong way and that may be it for Arsenal.
54'
KOSCIELNY SENT PACKING! The defender was initially awarded a yellow card for the foul, but after consultation with his assistant, the referee has changed his decision to a straight red.
53'
L. Koscielny goes off after a red card!
BAYERN HAVE A PENALTY! The visitors carve their way into the box once again, and Lewandowski gets his body in front of Koscielny, who drags him back just as he's about to shoot.
52'
Twice now Bayern have attacked down the left-hand side, but both times, the final ball has been dreadful, with both going out for throw-ins on the far side. Bayern looking dangerous here.
50'
OFFSIDE! Alonso tries a quick free-kick that finds Hummels in the box, but as the centre-back side-foots the ball home, the flag is up on the near side. It's the correct call, too.
48'
OVER THE BAR! Giroud is on the end of another glaring miss, as Ramsey stands a cross up to the centre of the box. The Frenchman gets up just a little too soon and plants his header over the top.
46'
Off we go again.
45' +1
Sanchez fires a free-kick right at Neuer, and that may be it for the half.
45'
Some danger from Bayern in the closing stages of the half. Robben works the ball out wide for Rafinha on the overlap, but his lifted cross is poor and right into the arms of the keeper.
44'
Javi Martínez gets yellow.
Sanchez takes a hard hit from Vidal, who raked his studs down the quad of his compatriot. Strangely, the referee doesn't show a card even though it happened right in front of him.
Martinez sees yellow for taking out Ramsey near the edge of the penalty area.
43'
Oxlade-Chamberlain flies forward on the counter, but his pass out to Bellerin takes the Spaniard a little too wide. He hoists a cross into the area that's cleared, leading to a Bayern counter that ends with a Robben shot down Ospina's throat.
41'
BIG OPPORTUNITY MISSED! After Giroud's miscue at one end, Lewandowski follows suit with a terrible fluff, volleying wide after being put clean through by Robben inside the area.
39'
T. Walcott gets yellow.
D. Alaba gets yellow.
OVER THE TOP! Giroud wins the initial knock down from a long ball, which finds its way to Monreal. The full-back returns it to the striker, who tries a first-time shot that flies horribly over.
Walcott goes down in a challenge with David Alaba, and angrily shoves the ball into his chest. He gets booked for that.
Alaba also sees yellow for his part in tht incident.
37'
Walcott is starting to get a little too excited here. The Englishman's hunger is admirable, but after being put through by a wonderful Mustafi pass, he attempts to make lightning strike twice with a near-post shot instead ot teeing up one of three better-placed teammates. Ends up in the side, instead of the back of the net.
35'
Oxlade-Chamberlain skips past his man and gets the ball to Walcott on the byline, but he goes down under a fair challenge from Alonso. The referee isn't interested in the appeals for a penalty.
32'
A fortunate deflection presents the ball to Giroud, who squares it wide for Walcott and continues his run into the box. Not for the first time, the forward's cross is poor and into the first defender.
30'
The home fans aren't happy after Rafinha runs into the shoulder of Ramsey, leading to a foul against the Welsh midfielder. The Gunners have simmered down slightly in the last few minutes.
27'
There's some real belief in the Arsenal fans, and it's permeated the 11 on the pitch. Walcott is running around like a madman and Bayern would do well to calm things down here like they did in the opening five minutes.
25'
The ball is sent over the top by Thiago towards Robert Lewandowski, who manages to hold off Laurent Koscielny as he inches into the penalty area, but David Ospina is out quickly to clear.
22'
Is this the start of something special? Arsenal have one, but they need three more. Given their second-leg history against Bayern, it was always likely that they would score, but that's only the first step of a daunting journey.
20'
T. Walcott has scored a goal for Arsenal! Assist by O. Giroud.
Giroud linked up with Walcott out wide.
FIRST ONE'S ONE THE BOARD! No surprise to see Walcott on the end of that one. He burst through down the right, lifted his head and smashed a lovely finish high into the back of the net!
18'
Great period this from Arsenal as Walcott twists and turns in the box, taking one too many touches before losing possession. Moments later, the Englishman rises to meet a cross and inadvertently takes it off the head of Giroud.
17'
NARROWLY WIDE! Arsenal keep the pressure on after a failed corner, and a cross from Monreal on the far side is deflected into the six-yard area, where Giroud towers up to put the header the wrong side of the post.
15'
Alonso lifts a languid ball out to the right flank for Rafinha to chase, and the full-back tries to use his first touch to burst past Monreal, but the Spaniard gets his body in the way to make the interception.
13'
GREAT PLAY BY MANUEL NEUER! Walcott this time keeps himeslf onside as he races onto an early ball down the middle, but his first touch, combined with the Bayern keeper's proactive closing down, means that the ball is cleared.
11'
Granit Xhaka does well to maintain possession in the middle of the park, and he pings the ball out to the right flank for an open Walcott, who failed to time his run and is called for an offside.
9'
Robben gets the ball on the right again, and tries to beat Nacho Monreal by turning him inside out. However, the Spaniard is on his game to block the effort out for a corner, which comes to nothing.
7'
Rafinha plays the ball down the line for Robben, who scored the first goal in the opening leg between those two sides. He goes to the byline and dinks a cross in that's headed away at the near post.
5'
This is the start to the game that Ancelotti would have wanted. Bayern Munich are dominating possession and making Arsenal do all the defending. Not the greatest atmosphere at the Emirates so far as well.
3'
There was a delay in the game as toilet paper was thrown from the stands by some Bayern Munich fans, presumably to protest the ticket prices at the Emirates. We're back underway though.
1'
Off we go.
No club has ever made it through a Champions League knockout tie after losing the first leg by four or more goals. To the frustration of an increasingly large section of their support, it seems like Arsenal are imploding right on schedule this season as they come into this Herculean task on the back of a demoralising 3-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield.
By contrast, things are looking rosy for Bayern Munich. Since a disappointing 1-1 draw with Hertha, they've reeled off three wins in all competitions by a combined score of 14-0. Second-place RB Leipzig are seven points behind them in the Bundesliga, and they're through to the semis of the DFB-Pokal. Barring a historic collapse here, the last eight of the UCL is also in their future.
Alexis Sanchez is recalled to the Arsenal starting 11 after he was benched against Liverpool. Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott also begin this match, with Francis Coquelin and Olivier Giroud dropping to the bench. Mesut Ozil is also fit enough to be among the subs.
Philipp Lahm is suspended, meaning that Rafinha steps in at right-back. Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery keep Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman on the bench, while Thomas Muller also sits in favour of Thiago. All in all a fairly predictable XI from Carlo Ancelotti.
Welbeck has been injured during his warmups, and Giroud replaces him.
Hello and welcome to our live commentary of the Champions League fixture between Arsenal and Bayern Munich in London. After the 5-1 pasting at the Allianz Arena, the Gunners need at least four goals tonight to qualify. Who's putting money on this?
And that will do it for now as we head into the half-time break. Plenty of positives for Arsenal to take from the opening half, not least Walcott's opening goal. However, with three more still needed, the Gunners will have to continue on this upwards trajectory, and limit Bayern, who have also looked dangerous when they're ready. Stay tuned.
Boos rain down from the few Arsenal fans that remain in the ground. This was a toxic second half to witness, with the crowd completely disengaged, and some of the players displaying an indifference to matters on the pitch. A few Gunners like Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain commendably stay on to applaud the support. Take noting away from Bayern though, who were miles ahead across both legs and take their spot in the quarter finals. That's it from us, thanks for tuning in.
