Hello and welcome to tonight's live text commentary of Inter vs Fiorentina on the opening weekend of the Serie A season.
Expectations are high at Inter this season after a busy summer so far in the transfer market. Tonight they face off against former boss Stefano Pioli, who will be looking to prove his credentials with Fiorentina.
In the opposite dugout, Luciano Spalletti is also looking to prove a point after joining the club in the summer. His new-look side will be determined to hit the ground running and improve on last year's disappointing finish in the Serie A table.
Both teams will have players unavailable tonight, with Davide Santon and Geoffrey Kondogbia missing for Inter. Santon is still injured, while Kondogbia is set to join Valencia in the coming days. As for Fiorentina, Nikola Kalinic is out as he prepares to undergo a medical at Milan on Monday.
TEAM NEWS coming up shortly...

HALF-TIME - Inter 2-0 Fiorentina.
Well, that was an abysmal first-half display from Fiorentina but you have to take your hat off to Inter who have played well. Icardi was once again sharp in front of goal and he capitalised on a sloppy tackle from Astori in the first few minutes. His second goal is thanks to a stunning cross from Perisic and Spalletti's team deserve their lead.
It should be a case of more of the same for Inter, but Fiorentina can't get much worse going forward. Simeone had their best chance with a header but they need to produce more for their travelling fans. Second-half coverage coming up shortly!
FULL-TIME Inter 3-0 Fiorentina.
Spalletti gets his reign at Inter underway with a win and his team deserved it after a very solid display at the San Siro. Two first-half goals from Icardi put his team in command and Perisic's header wrapped up a fine performance from him.
That's all for tonight, thanks for tuning in. Goodbye!
It's still early days for Inter but their summer spending should push them closer to the European places as they try to chase down Juventus, Roma and Napoli. As for Fiorentina, well that's a game to forget for them as they simply did not get going.
