The fifth yellow card for Atletico Madrid today, with Partey now in the book.
90' +2
The delivery is deep and Partey puts the ball behind for a corner, under pressure from Sergi Gomez.
Sisto launches a delivery into the area, where Celta have a number of men are waiting, and the attack eventually ends with Guidetti backheeling an effort towards goal but there was never any real danger for Atletico.
90' +1
Three minutes added on at the end of the second half and it looks like Atletico Madrid will maintain the pressure on the top two with an important three points.
Celta are continuing to try to find their way back into the match and now have a free-kick from a deep position.
90'
Superb goalkeeping from Oblak, who charges off his line to claim a free-kick at the far post to ensure that no Celta man can have a chance for an equaliser.
89'
Juanfran gets yellow.
SAVE! Oblak again called into action and it's not too difficult. It is better play from Celta, with Hugo Mallo playing a good one-two and then curling an effort into the arms of the Atletico stopper.
Juanfran has no arguments as he enters the notebook for a foul on Emre Mor.
88'
Filipe Luís enters the game and replaces Á. Correa.
Final substitution for Atletico is, unsurprisingly, a defensive one. Filipe Luis is the man coming on and it's the end of Angel Correa's day.
87'
Superb work from Correa gives the young Argentine the opportunity to play the ball into a dangerous area and it's just ahead of Griezmann.
It may not be exciting to watch but Atletico Madrid have shown a defensive masterclass here today to quell the threat shown by Celta Vigo, who entered the match with 12 goals from their past three matches.
86'
Maxi Gomez now heads over the bar, with Emre Mor crossing into the area. Celta are throwing everything at the Atletico defence but they can't break them down.
85'
Emre Mor again causing problems out wide, with his cross earning a wicked deflection and seeing Oblak backtracking to ensure it travels over the bar, and Atletico stand firm again to ensure the hosts don't have a chance to shoot.
84'
Emre Mor has been very bright since coming on, winning a corner out wide off Juanfran, and Celta elect to go short - then appealing for another handball decision outside the box but getting nothing from the referee.

Description
82'
P. Hernández gets yellow.
An off the ball incident sees Lucas Hernandez rolling on the floor, appearing to be in pain, and it's a yellow card for Pablo Hernandez. The defender had hit out on Maxi Gomez after being fouled and then threw himself to ground after the striker made minimal contact as he ran past. Awful to see from the Atletico defender.
81'
The chances just aren't falling for Celta Vigo today. A long ball forward isn't controlled by Maxi Gomez, who would have been through on goal had he got the ball under his possession.
79'
Very, very poor from Guidetti. The Swedish striker is poked through out wide by Mor but he elects to shoot for the near post and hits the side netting, when there were much better options available to him.
Celta are maintaining a very good tempo to their play but the issue is still that they haven't asked too much of Oblak, with the visiting stopper forced to make just one meaningful save in this second half.
77'
HUGE CHANCE! A superb ball from Sisto, who's now playing on the right with Mor on the left, finds Maxi Gomez in space and the Uruguayan striker chests the ball down. Juanfran rushes to block the shot though and Sisto is swiftly called offide from the resulting corner.
76'
Flag is raised on Juanfran, who looked like he had the break on the Celta Vigo defence.
75'
Gaitan's delivery towards Godin is headed away from Guidetti, with Celta then winning a free-kick on the halfway line after a foul from Godin - who is fortunate to escape a yellow card.
74'
Atletico head to the corner, where Saul is located, and he wins a corner to take the pressure off his defensive team mates.
Foul on Lucas Hernandez just inside the Celta half gives Atletico the chance to build an attack and potentially double their advamtage, which would surely seal all three points.
73'
Huge change for Griezmann! A superb cross into the box from Saul finds the head of the French international and his effort is narrowly wide of the post.
72'
E. Mor enters the game and replaces G. Cabral.
J. Guidetti enters the game and replaces D. Wass.
Another yellow card for Celta, with Cabral fouling Griezmann on the halfway line.
There are indeed attacking changes for Celta Vigo, with John Guidetti the first in a double alteration as he takes to the field to replace Wass.
The second substitution suggests a change of shape, as Borussia Dortmund loanee Emre Mor enters the frame for centre-half Cabral.
71'
G. Cabral gets yellow.
70'
Gimenez seems to have slotted into the midfield as direct replacement for Gabi, which shows the intent of Diego Simeone for the remainder of the match.
Sisto has been heavily involved for Celta so far but he hasn't been great, conceding possession sloppily there. There's twenty minutes to go and the hosts may well make some attacking changes shortly.
67'
Atletico break as Griezmann takes the ball down fantastically but Gabral quells the danger with a fantastic sliding challenge.
66'
J. Giménez enters the game and replaces Gabi.
Another change for Atletico and Jose Gimenez is brought on for Gabi. The Uruguayan usually plays in the centre of defence so it will be interesting to see how he lines up here.
65'
Celta players are crowding the referee to appeal for a penalty, as Sisto clips the ball into the box and Gabi, already on a yellow card, stops the ball with his arm. The referee immediately waved away the protests but Atletico are fortunate to get away with that one.
That's certainly sparked the home support into life and the replays showed there was movement from Gabi's arm towards the ball, suggesting it should have been a penalty.
64'
Jonny at risk of earning a second yellow card there as he fouls Juanfran but the referee keeps his card pocketed, for a decision that did look to be a tad harsh.
62'
It looks like Gaitan has gone onto the left, where Saul was playing, with Correa remaining on the right. Saul is in a more central position.
61'
N. Gaitán enters the game and replaces K. Gameiro.
First change for Atletico Madrid sees the goal scorer Gameiro replaced by Nicolas Gaitan, which likely means Correa will push into attack to partner Griezmann.
59'
Celta Vigo are banging on the door for an equaliser, putting Atletico under consistent pressure, and they're finding a lot of space out wide. Griezmann has been forced back to help out the defence, who stand firm and break with Correa.
58'
CROSSBAR! Aspas strikes for goal from the free-kick and is agonisingly close to an equaliser, seeing his effort bounce off the crossbar with Oblak beaten.
57'
Gabi gets yellow.
Gabi earns a yellow card for that challenge but it's a foul that needed to be made, as Wass looked set to charge into the area.
56'
A decent period of pressure for the hosts then, who finally put Oblak to the test with a decent attempt, but there's no change to the scoreboard.
Rare set-piece for Atletico sees Griezmann whip a corner into the box bit it's dealt with and Celta hit on the counter. Gabi fouls Wass, who cut inside and was causing a threat. It's a free-kick just outside of the area.
53'
Celta then have a half hearted appeal for a penalty turned away, as they claim Juanfran used his hand inside the area. The referee isn't interested though.
52'
SAVE! Oblak finally called into action to make a big save as Sisto's shot ricochets into the path of a Aspas, who strikes first time and forces the Slovenian keeper to dive low to palm the ball away. Certainly the best opportunity of the game for the hosts.
51'
Poor pass from Wass sees Celta waste a decent opportunity to put the Atletico defence under pressure and they'll have to start again from the back.
49'
Jonny gets yellow.
First yellow of the day for Celta, where Jonny is penalised for an unnecessary and late challenge on Griezmann.
48'
Celta settling into the second half exactly as they did for the entirety of the first period, with patient build up play and putting Atletico under a lot of pressure when they don't have the ball.
47'
Problem for Atletico today, as it was during the week, is that their strikers are very isolated. Griezmann has largely been a passenger, whilst Gameiro hasn't had too many openings either.
45'
Big chance! Celta work well out wide to create an opportunity, lofting a ball into the area that misses the initial men but Maxi Gomez arrives to cause danger. Atletico's defence eventually deals with the pressure but it's a good sign for the hosts.
Back underway in Galicia and it's Celta now kicking from right to left, as they aim to find a way back into the match.
44'
Partey sloppuly gives away possession and Sisto leads the Celta charge, with Aspas laying the ball off to Wass. The midfielder strikes a low effort at goal but Oblak holds firm with another comfortable save.
42'
Saul not happy with a challenge from Wass, with he and Correa both then putting hands on the referee as they plead for further punishment for the Celta man. Referee gives a free-kick but nothing else and Griezmann's delivery is headed away.
41'
Saúl gets yellow.
Saul, who was a starring man for the Spanish U21's in the summer, shows some superb skill but then Atletico lose possesion, with Saul then earning a yellow card.
40'
Brilliant defending from Sergi Gomez, who tracks Gameiro's threatening run and prevents the French striker from creating a chance to score his second of the afternoon.
38'
Good turn by Pablo Hernandez leads to a foul from Partey but Aspas' shot from distance is another easy save for Oblak.
37'
Atletico haven't conceded in their last four trips to the Balaidos and Celta will have to be far more threatening to change that, as their latest delivery into the box is easily dealt with by Savic.
36'
Celta remaining patient but are yet to carve open a quality opportunity, which is surprising as the Atletico defence has looked shaky at times during this first half.
33'
Aspas fouls Godin, the 15th foul of the first-half, and Oblak will take this defensive free-kick.
32'
Despite falling behind, Celta Vigo are still controlling the flow of the game and are putting Atletico under a lot of pressure.
30'
Clumsy challenge from Godin on Aspas but no foul is given, much to the frustration of the home supporters.
28'
K. Gameiro has scored a goal for Atletico Madrid!
GOAL! Atletico Madrid take the lead! They've been on the receiving end of a lot of pressure but the opportunity falls to Gameiro from the set-piece, with poor defending from Sergi Gomez putting the ball in the path for the striker- who nets on his first La Liga start of the season.
26'
First big chance of the game and it's against the run of play. Correa and Juanfran combine well together on the overlap, with the full-back then playing a low ball into the area where only a brave challenge from goalkeeper Alavarez can prevent Griezmann having a tap-in at the near post.
25'
Maxi Gomez is certainly a presence up front, conceding a foul for a challenge on his compatriot Godin.
24'
The hosts are keeping Atletico on their toes by utilising a variety of attacks, showing they're not afraid to play the long ball forward to Gomez or try to carve an opening along the ground. It's working so far, as Celta are dominating possession.
23'
Celta are being very patient when they do get forward, with Sisto and Wass linking up to try and carve open an opportunity, but it's an easy save for Oblak when Sisto does manage to get his shot away.
21'
We're still yet to see any promising attacks for Atletico, who continue to find themselves on the back foot.
19'
Atletico struggling to get a foot in the match but they're certainly getting their foot in on the opposition. Wass is the latest man to earn a free-kick, which he whips into the box where Pablo Hernandez heads over the bar.
17'
Yet another foul from Atletio, as Juanfran commits a clumsy foul on Sisto, and Celta again have an opportunity from a dead ball situation. Sisto's delivery founds the head of Gomez and Oblak is forced to tip the ball over the bar.
16'
S. Savić gets yellow.
Gabi delivers, though it's dealt with by Celta's organised defence, and Atletico will have to start again.
First yellow card of the afternoon goes to Stefan Savic and it's a blatant one. Easy decision for the referee.
15'
Atletico are always more than happy to play without the ball away from home but they're yet to get going properly in this match, with Lucas earning a free-kick in the attacking half after a challenge from Aspas.
13'
Another free-kick in a decent opportunity for Celta, which Wass delivers into a dangerous area but Godin is on hand to head the ball away.
12'
Griezmann, quite remarkably, has already played with five different striking partners this season but Simeone is yet to see a partnership he's keen on. Diego Costa, who's training at the club's facilities and will rejoin officially in January, may be the man they're looking for.
10'
Celta certainly the more threatening side early on, with Aspas again having a sight of goal but he snatches at his shot and drags wide of the target.
Simeone has been calling for his side to put Celta under more pressure when they're on the ball, showing his intentions from the match, but they're being made to work in the opening exchanges - spending the majority of the time without possession.
8'
Aspas, starting out wide today, has been involved in everything positive for the hosts thus far and is dropping deep to pick up the ball, then pushing forward to threaten Atletico's defensive line.
6'
Atletico's first opening sees Juanfran loft a ball into the area but the defence copes with the danger, getting the ball away before Gameiro can use his aerial presence to test Alvarez.
5'
Another surge forward from Celta, as Aspas skips forward and lays the ball into Sisto. The opening comes to nothing though, as he cannot get a decent attempt away.
3'
Another foul from Atletico, this time from Lucas Hernandez on Aspas, and it's a decent opening. A swift move sets-up Aspas from outside the area, who sees a low drive comfortably saved by Oblak.
1'
Kick-off! We're underway at the Balaidos, Atletico Madrid get us underway - kicking from right to left.
Early foul from Saul, giving Celta a free-kick. The hosts are patient with the play, trying to break down Atletico Madrid, and are setting the pace in the early exchanges.
SAVE! Atletico have increased the pressure and Griezmann again has an opportunity, this time able to get his shot away with a low drive from just outside the area and forcing Alvarez to get down low to put the ball behind for a corner.
Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE text coverage of the La Liga tie between Celta Vigo and Atletico Madrid, where both sides are looking for three points to build upon their surge to achieve their ambitions this season.
Celta Vigo enter the match on the back of an impressive 5-2 victory away against Las Palmas, where they finished the match with ten men, and sit in mid-table. They'll be hoping to secure European football this season and a win, at least temporarily, will lift them to within two points of the top-four.
Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, remain as one of La Liga's three undefeated sides this season but have a lot to prove after a poor performance in the Champions League, where Diego Simeone's men were held by minnows Qarabag. After a 1-1 draw with Barcelona last week, Atletico will hope to return to winning ways and maintain the pressure on the sides above them.
Celta Vigo XI: Sergio Alvarez; Hugo Mallo, Sergi Gomez, Gustavo Cabral, Jonny; Daniel Wass, Pablo Hernandez, Stanislav Lobotka; Iago Aspas, Maxi Gomez, Pione Sisto.
Atletico XI: Jan Oblak; Juanfran, Diego Godin, Stefan Savic, Lucas Hernandez; Angel Correa, Gabi, Thomas Partey, Saul Niguez; Kevin Gameiro, Antoine Griezmann.
Atletico subs: Miguel Angel Moya, Filipe Luis, Augusto Fernandez, Nicolas Gaitan, Luciano Vietto, Jose Gimenez, Fernando Torres.
Celta Vigo subs: Ivan Villar, Nemanja Radoja, Brais Mendez, Emre Mor, Andreu Fontas, John Guidetti, Jozabad Sanchez.
Celta Vigo make three changes to the side that thrashed Las Palmas last week, one of which is forced due to Ruben Blanco's red card in that game. Sergio Alvarez therefore comes in between the sticks, with the other changes seeing Iago Aspas and Jozabad Sanchez drop to the bench. In their place comes Maxi Gomez and Hugo Mallo, with Wass moving from defence into midfield.
Atletico Madrid make numerous changes from the side that drew with Qarabag, five in total, with Juanfran, Savic, Hernandez, Correa and Partey coming in. Filipe Luis, Gaitan and Gimenez are on the bench, with their being no place in the squad for Sime Vrsaljko or Yannick Carrasco- the latter of which has been heavily criticised this week for his reaction after being suspended in the goalless draw in the Champions League.
Diego Simeone's side certainly the favourites today. Not only have they won the last four against Celta Vigo, without conceding a goal, but they've also won five of the last six matchs at the Balaidos and have won more away games against Celta than they have against any other La Liga side.
Celta will certainly need to improve their home form this season, as they're current run has seen them win just one of their nine fixtures at home. Their only victory in that run came against Alaves in September.
No time added on at the end of the first half, with Atletico Madrid going into the break with a narrow advantage after Kevin Gameiro's goal. Diego Simeone's side have spent the majority of the game on the back foot but their defence is holding firm, limiting Celta Vigo to a few half chances.
Celta Vigo have looked very strong in possession, pushing forward in numbers and putting Atletico under a lot of pressure when they don't have they ball, but they're yet to craft open a decent opportunity or put Jan Oblak's net under serious threat. Having won just one of their last nine at home, they'll need a considerable improvement in the attacking third in the second half if that's to change.
Atletico Madrid are never afraid to play without the ball on their travels away from home and the tactic is working well for Diego Simeone's side here, as they spent the first half soaking up the pressure but took their opportunity when it came. Sloppy defending from Celta Vigo put the ball on a plate for Gameiro, who took the opportunity well to find the net on his first La Liga start of the season.
FULL-TIME. A classic Atletico Madrid defensive performance sees Diego Simeone's side return to the Spanish capital with all three points. Kevin Gameiro's first half goal provided the visitors with something to defend and they did exactly that, with a superb performance to leave Celta Vigo frustrated.
Celta Vigo's home woes continue as they fall to defeat against Atletico but they can take some encouragement from their performance, as they retained possession well and dominated the flow of the game but were unable to break down a resilient Atletico defence. They have two winnable games though now, travelling to face Eibar in the Copa Del Rey before another away trip next weekend against a struggling Malaga side.
Atletico's win sees them rise to third ahead of rivals Real Madrid, who can reclaim that spot this evening, and it's a decisive victory after what was a disappointing week. They'll expect to be victorious in midweek when they face Elche in the cup, before a huge clash at the top end of the La Liga table next weekend as they face a high-flying Villarreal side.
