Juventus are labouring rather fruitlessly in these last few minutes of stoppage time. No real sign of a late winner here, but you never know...
90' +1
R. Petrović enters the game and replaces S. Ristovski.
Ristovski has gone down with cramp, and is taking his time to leave the field and be replaced by Petrovic.
89'
J. Cuadrado gets yellow.
Cuadrado has worked hard both in attack and defence tonight, and he gets a yellow card for a tired challenge.
87'
CHANCE! Coates flicks on a corner, but it's too wide and Martins can't trick he way through. The ball ends up with Fernandes, who takes on a shot from some distance. Initially, it looks like it's going miles over the bar, but it dips drastically and ends up on the top of the net, inches behind the top right corner!
85'
Ristovski goes down on the touchline, and Allegri doesn't look impressed. He clearly feels that it's a time-wasting ploy.
83'
F. Bernardeschi enters the game and replaces P. Dybala.
Dybala looks dejected as he's taken off, but Bernardeschi replaces him and goes out onto the right, with Costa taking up Dybala's number 10 role.
81'
S. Doumbia enters the game and replaces B. Dost.
Dost - who has been relatively ineffectual tonight - is replaced by a man familiar to Juventus fans in the form of former Roma striker Doumbia.
79'
G. Higuaín has scored a goal for Juventus! Assist by J. Cuadrado.
S. Coates gets yellow.
Cuadrado has been a real threat for Juventus all night. With Mandzukic on the left, he is the only attacking outlet with pace that started the game, and even after being moved to right-back, he still looks dangerous. He did well there to slip Higuain into the box.
GOAL! Higuain levels it up! Cuadrado is involved again as he slips the striker through, who delicately dinks it over Patricio to make it 1-1! Game on!
Coates goes in a little heavy as he jumps for the ball, and gets a yellow.
78'
M. Acuña gets yellow.
Acuna gets a yellow card as Cuadrado plays another neat one-two and goes round him, before bringing the wide-man down. Allegri is furious on the touchline.
77'
A lovely one-two sees Cuadrado clear on the right, but the play has been stopped as Martins has stayed down after blocking Matuidi's cross.
Minute
Description
76'
Scenes of both managers bellowing instructions at their sides on the touchline. They both know this game isn't over yet.
73'
CHANCE! Matuidi whips a low cross in, but there's nobody in the middle. However, a mix-up between Silva and Coates sees the ball almost turned into the Sporting net for an own goal! It goes out for a corner though.
72'
CHANCE! Dybala goes for the top corner from the edge of the box, but there's not quite enough height or power in the shot and Patricio can hold it.
70'
B. Matuidi enters the game and replaces S. Khedira.
Khedira is replaced by Matuidi in midfield. It's a like-for-like swap, but the summer signing from PSG will look to bring fresh energy into the heart of midfield.
69'
CHANCE! Patricio makes a wonderful save! Mandzukic flicks the ball on for Higuain, but the goalkeeper is there to beat away is header from almost point-blank range! Incredible goalkeeping!
67'
B. Dost gets yellow.
Towering striker Dost geos into the book for a clumsy challenge.
65'
Douglas Costa enters the game and replaces M. De Sciglio.
Martins wins the ball in his own half again and tries to play it forward quickly, but Juventus are back well to snuff it out.
Allegri makes a desperate change. Full-back De Sciglio comes on for winger Douglas Costa as he searches for an equaliser. Cuadrado drops in to right-back, and Costa takes his place on the wing.
64'
João Palhinha enters the game and replaces Bruno César.
Goalscorer Cesar is replaced after going down following a collision. Palhinha takes his place.
62'
CHANCE! It's really opening up now! Fernandes whips in a wicked ball across the face of goal, but Dost just can't make contact as he slides in to reach it!
61'
CHANCE! De Sciglio has a go from outside the box that is headed for the bottom corner. It takes a deflection on its way that could make things interesting, but Patricio hangs on.
60'
CHANCE! Martins looks like a man possessed as he wins the ball in his own half and charges up the pitch. He plays Dost in, who squares for Cesar, but the midfielder can't get his second. It's a powerful effort with good shape and height, but it's just wide of the near post.
59'
CHANCE! Mandzukic is just beaten to a low cross and it's cleared for a corner. It was an inspired interception, as the Croatian striker was in on goal!
57'
Juventus are doing better in pushing for an equaliser, but Sporting do look a threat on the counter, especially with the pace of Martins.
54'
CHANCE! Pjanic gets half a sight of goal in the box and tries to bend one into the top corner through a crowd. He's not too far away, but it's just off target.
53'
Cuardrado and Dybala look like Juventus' two brightest sparks at the moment. The former is dragging his side up the pitch, while the latter looks like he has the key to unlock the home defence. His shots so far this half have been off-target, but his approach play is good.
52'
Silva puts in a hefty challenge on Cuadrado, but replays show that he got the ball first and the referee is right to wave play on.
51'
Juventus are trying, but there seems to be a lack of confidence and cohesion in and around the box for Juventus, whose attacks seem to break down regularly in that area. Credit to Sporting, though, who are defending well and look organised.
49'
Another Juventus attack breaks down on the edge of the box, and Acuna throws a lovely feint in before racing away and playing Dost in behind, but the former Wolfsburg striker is caught offside.
48'
CHANCE! Mandzukic flicks a looping header towards goal, but Patricio stands tall and claims the effort.
46'
We're back underway as Sporting kick off the second half.
CHANCE! Cuadrado tricks his way down the right for Juventus, but his cross is cleared away, leaving space for Martins to burst between the two defenders on the counter. However, Barzagli is just able to hold him up and the chance is gone.
45' +1
Juventus waste a great attack by appealing instead of playing to the whistle. Dybala sparks a great attack but when Mandzukic is felled on the edge of the box, he stands still with his arms raised instead of going for the loose ball in his direction. Really poor from Juventus - no doubt there'll be stern words from Allegri at half-time.
44'
Tackles are flying in a little from Sporting now. Perhaps legs are tiring from their high press and they are just trying to see the game out to half-time with their lead intact by disrupting their opponents' rhythm. They're doing a pretty good job so far.
42'
The half is petering to a close as neither side can create anything of real substance. Each side has had just one clear cut chance each - and Sporting converted theirs.
38'
Juventus press high themselves and win the ball well in an advanced area. Higuain rushes into the penalty area with the ball, but shoots straight at a defender when he had better options to his left. Better, though.
35'
Dybala has been on the end of some pretty rough treatment from Sporting, and he's felled just outside the centre circle, but there's no card. Pjanic's delivery is dealt with, and Martins looks to spark a counter-attack. Juventus are forced all the way back and have to defend in their own half again.
33'
Juventus win a corner of their own, but Chiellini just can't reach it. It's cleared all the way back to the Juventus half, and Sporting are out so, so quickly to press their back-tracking opponents. Their high press has really unsettled the Serie A champions.
31'
CHANCE! A ball is whipped in from the left and Buffon makes an excellent save from the resulting header. Then, the corner is worked well and Fernandes just can't find his man in the middle with a low cross from the right.
29'
Not really the response Allegri would have been hoping for from his side. Save that one chance for Khedira, they haven't really looked threatening since going behind. The likes of Dybala have had to drop far too deep in order to see the ball, and as a result, Sporting look relatively comfortable at the moment.
26'
M. Mandžukić gets yellow.
Mandzukic goes into the book following a Juventus free-kick for leading with his elbow as he jumped to meet the ball.
22'
CHANCE! Juventus almost respond immediately, but Khedira arrives just too late at the back post with Patricio scrambling! The ball flashes past the post and goes out for a goal kick, but it could have so easily been 1-1!
20'
Bruno César has scored a goal for Sporting Lisbon!
GOAL!! Sporting break the deadlock! Their pressure was mounting and it eventually paid off! Martins made a wonderful slaloming run down the right, beating several before jinking past Chiellini in the box and shooting for goal. His drive is only palmed out though, and Cesar - who skied an earlier effort - makes no mistake this time and sweeps the ball into the far corner! 1-0 Sporting!
19'
Sporting now hav Juventus penned into their own half. They're working hard to keep the ball, but struggling to create anything really clear-cut as of yet.
17'
Chiellini is guilty of not playing the ball out after making a strong tackle, and gives the ball away on the left. The resulting shot is deflected up into the air though, and Buffon is out to claim it.
16'
Sporting try to get in down the flank with a ball down the line, but it's well defended, before Higuain is bundled over by three as he looked to spark a counter.
13'
CHANCE! Pjanic lofts a lovely, deft ball over the top for the onrushing Mandzukic, who is onside, but as he meets the ball in the box, his touch off his chest is very heavy, and Patricio comes out to collect comfortably. Great ball from Pjanic though.
11'
CHANCE! Cesar is found in acres on the edge of the box, but his first-time effort is wild and is miles over the bar. Poor effort, but Sporting are starting to press higher and look more dangerous.
10'
Gelson Martins swaps over to the left flank and tries to have a go at De Sciglio, but the full-back stands firm.
9'
Juve win their first corner of the match, but Patricio is out well to collect Pjanic's delivery.
8'
Cesar bundles Khedira over in midfield, conceding a free-kick.
6'
Sporting try to press Juve a little more, and win a corner, but it's cleared away.
3'
Despite the success of the Chiellini-Rugani partnership in central defence against Milan, Allegri has opted to restore the more experienced Barzagli to the team. While Juve are the favourites, this game will go a long way towards deciding second place in the group, with Barcelona looking immovable at the summit of Group D.
2'
Sporting immediately sit off as Juve start brightly, pushing both full-backs forward as they look to make the pitch as wide as possible.
1'
And we're off! Juventus kick off the first half.
Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Champions League group stage fixture between Sporting and Juventus at the Estádio José Alvalade.
The lineups are out, and we'll start with the home side.
Sporting XI (4-2-3-1): Patricio; Silva, Ristovski, Coates, Pinto; Battaglia, Cesar; Acuna, Fernandes, Martins; Dost
Both clubs come into this game off the back of away league victories. Sporting beat Rio Ave, while Juventus made a statement by seeing out a comfortable 2-0 victory over AC Milan at the San Siro.
Sporting sit just three points off the top of the Portuguese Primera Liga in second, while Juventus lie third after a disappointing start to the season, three points behind leaders Napoli.
Juventus have made three defensive changes from the side that won in Milan, as Kwadwo Asamoah, Daniele Rugani, and Stephan Lichtsteiner all make way for Alex Sandro, Andrea Barzagli, and Mattia De Sciglio, respectively. Sporting have also rung the changes, with five, and key players William Carvalho and former Barcelona defender Jeremy Matheiu both miss out. The latter was taken off in the last game after half an hour due to injury.
And that's half-time! A fairly low-key first half, but Sporting go into the break 1-0 up after a solid performance, Bruno Cesar swept home the rebound after Gelson Martins produced a wonderful slaloming run and shot, which was parried out by Buffon but only to the goalscorer. Juventus struggled with Sporting's pressing game for most of the half, and failed to covert their only clear-cut opportunity when Khedira couldn't quite get into-the six-yard box quickly enough, with Rui Patricio scrambling across his line, but the German midfielder couldn't convert. At half-time, the score is 1-0 to Sporting.
And there goes the final whistle! Sporting took a deserved lead through Cesar, who swept home the rebound after Buffon could only parry Martins' initial strike. But despite being the better team for much of the game, they conceded a second-half equaliser as Cuadrado slipped Higuain in to dink over Patricio and secure an important point in the race for second place in Champions League Group D. A lacklustre, out-of-sorts Juventus tonight, but they have secured a 1-1 draw here tonight.
