Penalty shootout: Y. Touré (Manchester City) scored!
Penalty shootout: İ. Gündoğan (Manchester City) scored!
121'
Penalty shootout: C. Fuchs (Leicester City) scored!
120' +2
Gray has a couple of opportunities to cross when Maguire feeds him on the left, but Walker and then Bernardo Silva track him down and play the ball to safety. That will be it.
FULL-TIME: Leicester 1 Man City 1. Penalties to come.
120' +1
There will be just a minute of added time before we have penalties.
120'
SAVE! And another comfortable stop, this time at the other end. Toure approaches the area and curls a strike straight at Hamer.
119'
SAVE! Absolutely outstanding from Maguire! He sprints out of defence and beyond Toure, then turning the Man City midfielder to find the space to lift a pass into Vardy. Landing for the forward to volley at goal, the ball does not make a sweet connection with his foot and trundles through for Bravo. Maguire looks a little frustrated - understandably.
Minute
Description
118'
Benalouane rather needlessly dives in to concede a corner with no Man City players nearby. Again the visitors go short; again it comes to nothing.
116'
SAVE! Zinchenko foolishly ducks under the ball and Mahrez is there to collect. Cutting in from the right, he whips a cross-cum-shot towards goal and Bravo parries.
Appeals! Danilo has not convinced in defence today and he collides with Vardy in the area. No penalty this time...
115'
This time the foul goes Man City's way as Iborra pushes as he clambers towards the high ball. Free-kick for Bravo to clear.
114'
The contest is really quite stretched, with both teams desperate to attack but unable to effectively form a passage of play. The latest Leicester move concludes with yet another throw-in.
112'
Man City just are not learning their lesson. They repeatedly give the ball to Bravo with Vardy in close attendance. The latest rushed clearance prompts a Leicester attack through Vardy and Gray wins a corner.
This is frantic! Gray's delivery is good, but Man City scramble clear and then counter. Nmecha cannot pick out a team-mate, though.
111'
Y. Benalouane enters the game and replaces A. Dragović.
SUB! Leicester use the fourth change available to them in extra-time as Yohan Benalouane replaces Dragovic.
110'
CLOSE! So, so close! Nmecha dances through and his cross is cut out, but Gray's clearance lands at the feet of Dele-Bashiru. He tees up Zinchenko whose blast flashes over the top from around 25 yards.
109'
There are a few tired legs out there. Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus ping passes to each other on the left flank, but as soon as the ball escapes the former's control, he lacks the energy to race after it.
108'
Crucial challenge from Danilo! Fuchs wins possession and feeds Okazaki, but the Brazilian is across to snap into a challenge and relieve Man City.
107'
Both teams still look to be going for the win, with players pushing on at either end of the pitch. We are around 14 minutes away from a shoot-out...
106'
KICK-OFF: Away we go again!
105' +1
SAVE! Good stop from Hamer, diving across to stop and then smother Toure's curling free-kick as the whistle blows.
HALF-TIME: Leicester 1 Man City 1.
105'
H. Maguire gets yellow.
YELLOW! Maguire gets this one wrong, though! It was a challenge he had to make, clattering Dele-Bashiru as Man City break at pace. It's another free-kick in a promising position.
104'
Leicester are confidently closing out each Man City attack at the moment. Maguire, heavily involved at either end, steps in to win the ball and then play it to safety.
103'
CLOSE! What is Bravo thinking? With Vardy nearby, he takes an extra touch and the clearance is then hammered straight at the England international. Fortunately for Man City, the ball rolls wide of the target.
102'
The visitors take their time with a ponderous move but the final pass to Gabriel Jesus is miscontrolled and the Leicester fans predictably love it.
101'
Man City win a dangerous free-kick of their own and Gundogan delivers, but Iborra nods behind for a corner.
That set-piece is also easily dealt with and Man City instead have a throw-in on the right-hand side.
99'
CHANCE! Maguire might have done better there. He meets Mahrez's outswinging free-kick but nods well wide.
98'
Another foul on Gray - this time by Bernardo Silva - and Leicester have a free-kick in a dangerous position on the edge of the area...
97'
Leicester just cannot quite get the end product right! Bravo takes a delivery from the right but the hosts regroup and yet cannot quite forge a shooting opportunity. Gray's low ball is blocked.
96'
K. Walker gets yellow.
YELLOW! Oh dear! Walker looks to make amends for the penalty at the other end and is instead left blushing after he is adjudged to have dived into the area. That came at the end of a fine move led by Gundogan.
94'
Walker to the rescue! Danilo slips as a long ball heads straight for him, but his defensive colleague races back to get between Okazaki, Vardy and the ball. He wins a free-kick.
92'
Vardy keeps pressing and it takes some lovely footwork from Adarabioyo to shimmy away from danger. It's an open start to extra-time.
91'
KICK-OFF: Here we go again!
SAVE! Man City are on the attack right away! Walker crosses and Gabriel Jesus nods straight at Hamer.
90' +9
FULL-TIME: Leicester 1 Man City 1. Extra-time to come.
And Leicester break, but Vardy is offside as he hares after a long ball.
90' +8
Is there time for either side to find a winner in this final minute before the whistle?
Bernardo Silva dances through the Leicester defence but takes on one man too many, losing possession.
90' +7
Penalty goal scored by J. Vardy for Leicester City!
GOAL! Vardy rifles the penalty beyond Bravo! Leicester are level with just seconds of stoppage time remaining. It looks like we're heading for extra-time. 1-1.
90' +6
Danilo gets yellow.
YELLOW! Danilo is not happy with the decision and he goes into the book.
PENALTY! Unbelievable! Gray gets the wrong side of Walker and a slight clip of the heels sends the Leicester man down. Late drama and a spot-kick for the hosts...
90' +5
Okazaki crucially steals possession and sets Leicester away on the attack again...
90' +4
Good defending from Amartey to lunge after Danilo's long ball and find his goalkeeper. Man City had been starting to push men forward.
90' +3
WIDE! It's a long way wide from Maguire. Leicester won a free-kick in the Man City half, but Mahrez's delivery is too deep and the big defender cannot direct his header on target.
90' +2
Leicester have a throw-in on the right for Fuchs to take as the big defenders come forward...
Well defended by Man City! The throw-in is headed as far as Gabriel Jesus, who moves the ball on to Bernardo Silva. He looks for a big switch to Nmecha, but Dragovic covers.
90' +1
T. Dele-Bashiru enters the game and replaces P. Foden.
The board goes up to announce eight minutes of stoppage time! There's a huge roar of approval from the home crowd as they chase an equaliser.
SUB! Another Man City change. Foden is off and Tom Dele-Bashiru is on.
90'
So close to a vital touch for Vardy! Gray switches to the right and gets in behind, crossing inches in front of his stretching team-mate.
89'
Leicester continue to put the pressure on, but Man City have space on the counter every time. Foden seeks out a rather ambitious ball to Nmecha that runs through to Hamer.
88'
L. Nmecha enters the game and replaces Brahim Díaz.
And, as Foden runs back on, Man City completely waste the next corner.
SUB! Brahim bows out and on comes another youngster in the form of Lukas Nmecha.
87'
Superb defending from Maguire! Gundogan moves the ball wide and it quickly comes back in towards Foden, but the Leicester defender is in front of the young visiting midfielder to clear. Foden stays down.
86'
Gabriel Jesus forces a corner and the short set-piece tees up Foden for a dash to the touch line. His cross is blocked and so too is Gundogan's.
85'
Toure's pass to Foden is slack and he then cannot pick out Zinchenko and Mahrez is after the ball. The stand-in left back recovers to find Bravo, who hacks clear in front of Vardy. Man City needlessly putting themselves under pressure.
84'
That move at least kept the ball away from the Man City goal and the same can be said now of a foul won by Gabriel Jesus from Maguire's aerial challenge.
83'
Gabriel Jesus strays just, just offside! Foden brilliantly works space to slip in Brahim, who in turn plays the pass in behind. His team-mate is flagged, though, before lofting the ball high over the crossbar.
82'
SAVE! Superb from Mahrez! He drops a shoulder and ghosts away from Zinchenko before rifling low towards the goal and Vardy. Bravo just about gets there first.
81'
K. Walker enters the game and replaces E. Mangala.
CLOSE! Leicester probe right to left and left to right before the cross comes in and Vardy directs a header wide. He was some way out.
SUB! Mangala is not fit to continue and on comes Kyle Walker. He goes to the right and Danilo is into the middle.
80'
Toure steps back into defence as Mangala receives treatment and the midfielder is caught out by Vardy. Leicester cannot immediately work a crossing angle but they move the ball across the pitch...
79'
There's blood down Mangala's chin and his shirt, but it looks as though he is being patched up to continue.
78'
There's going to be another stoppage for a bloody nose as Mangala clashes heads with Vardy and goes down. Meanwhile, Leroy Sane warms up.
77'
Man City opt for a slow build-up that sees Bernardo Silva drift from right to left before thrashing in a low centre. Maguire and Gabriel Jesus wrestles for the ball and it bounces back to Bernardo Silva who, by this stage, is offside.
75'
Maguire shrugs off the challenge of Gabriel Jesus but then drills a pass back towards Hamer. It's on target and the goalkeeper does well to control on his chest.
74'
Brahim is lost for words as he tangles with Amartey and concedes a foul. That looked slightly harsh, but it is a free-kick on halfway for the hosts.
73'
A half-chance of sorts for Man City! Gabriel Jesus' header helps on the Gundogan delivery, but there are no visiting players on the move to turn the ball past Hamer from just a couple of yards out.
72'
It's perhaps a little surprising that Fuchs wasn't the man to go off there. He immediately concedes a foul on Bernardo Silva in a dangerous area on the Man City right.
71'
D. Gray enters the game and replaces B. Chilwell.
Mahrez moves the ball wide to Fuchs and this time the delivery is right, with men in the middle. Mangala nods behind. Corner.
Maguire climbs to meet the set-piece but, under pressure from Toure, there is no direction on his header and it's a Man City throw-in.
SUB! Leicester's final change sees the introduction of the in-form Demarai Gray in place of Chilwell.
69'
Bravo is caught by Vardy this time, but the ball runs kindly for Mangala. Surely, at some stage, Man City are going to be made to pay.
68'
This time it is Zinchenko and Foden who combine to relieve the pressure on Man City. They string a series of passes together on the left to wind the clock down a little further. Will Guardiola turn to any of his senior substitutes as Puel has?
67'
The final pass in to Vardy is not quite right at the moment. Chilwell's searching ball sails beyond the frustrated front man.
65'
The conclusion of that sequence has seen Man City regain a foothold in the game, but Leicester are looking to take control again. The crowd are much more involved in this second half.
64'
Maguire powers in a shot, but it's well blocked and Man City escape.
62'
And Leicester are furious at the next clash, too! Mangala tangles with Okazaki, who goes to ground spectacularly.
61'
İ. Gündoğan gets yellow.
YELLOW! Gundogan wants a foul as he goes down on the edge of the box, but the decision goes against him. That's a dive, says Madley. Booking.
CHANCE! Bernardo Silva gets in on the right again and looks set to score a second but shoots across the face of goal and Leicester clear. A let off for the hosts.
60'
Leicester energy levels have lifted for the other nine men in home colours, too. Amartey halts Foden's run and then chases after the next player.
59'
The home crowd have been given a real lift by the introduction of Mahrez and Vardy! The pair are chasing everything.
58'
Vardy is on the move straight away! He closes Bravo and the goalkeeper panics, just about finding Mangala with the pass.
57'
J. Vardy enters the game and replaces K. Ịheanachọ.
R. Mahrez enters the game and replaces M. Albrighton.
Fuchs has been somewhat more successful with his hands than with his feet today. Another excellent throw-in picks out Okazaki but, taking a lay-off, he overhits a second attempted pass to the Japanese.
SUB! And there goes Albrighton for Mahrez.
SUB! Jamie Vardy is coming on, too. He replaces former Man City man Iheanacho.
56'
Hamer and Chilwell are both back on their feet. Riyad Mahrez does look to be gettting ready to come on for Leicester, though.
54'
Appeals from the Man City players and fans but it's another Leicester man left in pain! The hosts look to kick on, but leave space for Foden and then Gundogan to manipulate possession and slip in Gabriel Jesus. Maguire may well drag down the striker as he looks to get onto the ball, with Hamer takking a whack. No foul.
52'
It looks like the Leicester man took a blow as he attempted to score there. Chilwell is receiving treatment for a bloodied nose after challenging with Gabriel Jesus.
51'
CLOSE! And another throw-in follows! This one is cut out at the near post, but Chilwell dives onto the loose ball and heads just over the top.
50'
BLOCK! Referee Bobby Madley has a word with Gabriel Jesus as he makes his frustration clear at a throw-in going the hosts' way - and they almost take full advantage. The ball is flicked on from Fuchs' delivery and Zinchenko clears from the goal line.
49'
Leicester clearly rate Adarabioyo rather more highly than they do Mangala, with the home forwards camped on the Frenchman's toes while his defensive partner carries the ball out of defence.
48'
There is initially a slower pace to this second half, despite the scare for Dragovic. Leicester are starting to press again, though.
47'
An escape for Aleksandar Dragovic! The defender's slip almost lets Man City in, but he recovers swiftly and breathes a huge sigh of relief.
46'
KICK-OFF: Gabriel Jesus gets us started again with his Man City side leading 1-0.
Fuchs has looked a little shaky today for Leicester and a slack pass gifts the ball to Zinchenko. Foden gives up possession, though, and Leicester start again.
45' +2
HALF-TIME: Leicester 0 Man City 1.
45' +1
Fuchs delivers a long throw-in and Iborra meets it, but Bravo claims under pressure from Maguire.
Iheanacho is working ever so hard to keep both Bravo and Mangala on their toes, but he is on a booking and needs to be careful. A foul is given against him this time as he pressures Mangala.
45'
Mangala is really struggling. He looks to collect possession, then loses all control to let Iheanacho in, before getting his body in front of the ball to concede only a throw-in.
44'
Zinchenko has been relatively impressive compared to the full back on the other side, but he lets Albrighton cross and it takes Man City three attempts to clear as the ball bobbles around the area.
42'
Chilwell has the beating of Danilo on Leicester's left, but Adarabioyo has performed well and steps across to intercept his run.
41'
OVER! Almost disastrous from Bravo! He is first to a ball in behind but, under pressure from Chilwell, gives possession straight back to Leicester. Iheanacho lashes over the top.
40'
Bravo punches clear, but the ball runs behind on the opposite side for another corner. Here come Leicester again...
The whistle goes against Leicester for an apparent push, Maguire having worked a yard to head towards goal. Man City breathe again.
39'
Corner to Leicester! It might have been more as Chilwell won possession and wriggled free, but his switch to Albrighton was poor and forced a cross that Zinchenko blocked.
38'
Gundogan has been the other star for the visitors and he again shows his ability with a lovely nutmeg in the middle of the field. Man City continue to probe.
37'
Fuchs is struggling to deal with Bernardo Silva. He gets away with his latest error, sliding beyond his touch to control but sticking out a leg to halt the wide man.
36'
And the game continues to flow from end to end! Albrighton wins a corner from Zinchenko and the set-piece leads to another as Toure nods behind.
Momentum lost for Leicester. They go short and Adarabioyo rises to head clear.
35'
Man City are straight up the other end! Brahim almost gets away from Amartey on the edge of the box on two occasions, but the defender recovers well.
34'
SAVE! Bravo reacts well to Iheanacho's low shot! It's a clumsy move as Fuchs' pass catches Chilwell out but the cross is behind his team-mates. Iheanacho stretches to pick out Okazaki and strikes low from the return pass. Well saved.
33'
Jeers now, though, as King wins a free-kick under pressure from Gundogan. That decision was crucial as Man City would have been in otherwise.
32'
While Leicester are keeping the ball, though, they are going nowhere. Man City have pushed the hosts 20 yards further back up the pitch and there's no out ball.
31'
It is Man City's turn to press and harry the Leicester back line. Puel's men are just about dealing with it as things stand.
30'
Bravo gets his pass right this time, feeding a lovely delivery into the feet of Gundogan. The ball moves right through Bernardo Silva, but his execution is poor on this occasion and the overlapping Danilo cannot catch up with play.
29'
Leicester clear the corner with some ease this time. Man City quickly have possession again, though.
What a delivery from Foden! Brahim and the Englishman team up on Amartey on the left and the latter's whipped cross evades everyone in the middle, with Fuchs just about getting there before Bernardo Silva at the far post.
28'
Man City are back in full control now and the away supporters are loving it. Puel looks a little bemused by that sucker-punch.
26'
Bernardo Silva has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by İ. Gündoğan.
That goal was all about the hard work of Gundogan. He netted the opener against Tottenham on Saturday and this time he drives forward before sliding a pinpoint pass in to Bernardo Silva.
GOAL! Advantage Man City and it's Bernardo Silva! He's been the danger man and, just as Leicester looked to be getting on top, the Portuguese puts the finishing touch to a lightning counter. 0-1.
25'
WIDE! And that's Leicester's first opening! Maguire shrugs off Bernardo Silva and heads wide.
24'
Great defending from Adarabioyo! Iheanacho looks to have turned clear of the Man City back line, but the young defender recovers to knock the ball behind.
23'
K. Ịheanachọ gets yellow.
YELLOW! Both goalkeepers look so nervy and Bravo is not helped by Danilo's undercooked backpass. Iheanacho flies towards the Chilean, who just about gets there first to ride the challenge and win a foul. As the keeper writhes in apparent pain, the forward is booked.
22'
WIDE! This set-piece is delivered into the area and Adarabioyo wrestles his way into space to meet the ball, but directs a header off target. That was a half-chance.
21'
And that corner is followed by another when Foden's strike - after a short corner - deflects wide off Vicente Iborra.
20'
But the tables are just starting to turn. Bravo continues to struggle with the ball at his feet and Iheanacho is alert. Another Leicester throw-in comes to nothing.
CROSSBAR! And just like that, Man City almost lead! A delicate Gundogan lob looks fairly comfortable for Hamer, but his tame parry drops onto the top of the goal frame and behind.
19'
The hosts keep the pressure on to win a throw-in that Fuchs hurls in. Man City clear, though, and the left back cannot deliver again.
18'
Leicester's passing continually looks to be aimless, but a couple of killer passes in behind are causing Man City problems. The latest sets Albrighton away and his cross is just too high for the onrushing Ben Chilwell.
17'
Confusion reigns as Hamer is hurried into a long clearance and Okazaki looks to be in. The offside flag goes up, but Iheanacho takes possession and then nods the ball on to Okazaki again. Man City clear, but Guardiola is furious with the officials.
16'
Inevitably, though, that positive passage ends with Iheanacho rushing Mangala into a clearance for a throw-in. Leicester attack.
15'
Man City are just building a little momentum now...
14'
SAVE! And that move sees Hamer forced into action for the first time! Bernardo Silva easily evades Christian Fuchs and his low drive is well saved by the goalkeeper.
BLOCK! Man City go even closer! A mix-up between Hamer and Fuchs gives Gundogan a clear strike on goal from 20 yards, but Harry Maguire recovers to block. The rebound flashes wide.
13'
Leicester continue to keep the ball, but an ill-advised long pass from Ben Hamer gifts possession back to the visitors.
12'
A plodding Man City move is halted when Marc Albrighton nips in front of Zinchenko. Leicester belatedly enjoy some possession.
11'
Man City have enjoyed 86% of possession so far, but we know only too well what Leicester are capable of on the break. Puel will be relatively happy at this early stage.
10'
Brahim is straight back into the action, however, nipping in front of Amartey to make something of a long ball. Man City build again.
It looks like Mangala is the man Leicester need to press here. He has been shaky in possession a couple of times and Iheanacho is always on the move.
9'
Frustration for Brahim as he looks to win a throw-in from Daniel Amartey in a promising position. The referee - from some distance away - gives the decision Leicester's way.
8'
Foden continues to impress. He takes a drilled pass from Toure and wins a free-kick as his touch deceives Andy King. Leicester have not been troubled in the final third so far, though.
7'
And there's a first moment of encouragement for Leicester as Mangala and Claudio Bravo play themselves into trouble. Iheanacho concedes the throw-in, though, and Man City pass their way out.
6'
Leicester look happy to let Adarabioyo and Eliaquim Mangala keep the ball, but there is danger every time Man City move the ball forward. Foden looks lively.
5'
Bernardo Silva again looks to make progress on the right, but he then attempts a backheel towards Danilo and the ball runs out of play. There are predictable jeers from the otherwise unmoved home support.
4'
A nice move involving Man City's young stars - Foden, then Brahim, then Zinchenko - threatens to cut through the Leicester defence. Okazaki is back, though, and he wins a foul.
3'
The visiting supporters are in good voice as their side keep the ball in the opening stages.
Kelechi Iheanacho - facing his former club - gets a first sniff for Leicester as he sprints towards Ben Chilwell's long ball. Tosin Adarabioyo is across to cover.
2'
As expected, Oleksandr Zinchenko is lining up in a rather unfamiliar left-back role for Man City. Phil Foden is in the centre of midfield, alongside Yaya Toure and Ilkay Gundogan.
1'
KICK-OFF: Shinji Okazaki and Leicester get us under way!
Bernardo Silva instantly shows his class with a dash down the right, winning a free-kick when he's finally hacked down.
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of the League Cup quarter-final between Leicester City and Manchester City!
Pep Guardiola's visitors have lost only once in all competitions this season - a Champions League dead rubber against Shakhtar Donetsk - so Leicester face quite the battle in this one.
That being said, Man City did show vulnerability in the previous round when Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers took the Premier League giants to a penalty shoot-out.
Leicester will hope to go one better here and reach the last four of a competition they have won three times - most recently in 1999-2000.
Both Claude Puel and Guardiola have entrusted a number of fringe men with this last-eight tie, making seven and nine changes from their respective Premier League fixtures. The visitors' Brahim Diaz makes his full senior debut.
Leicester may have enjoyed success in this competition in the late 1990s, but it is Man City who have started to dominate in recent years, lifting the trophy in two of the last four seasons.
It is worth remembering, however, that Leicester - bizarrely - have lifted silverware more recently than their esteemed guests here.
Whose journey will continue beyond today and into the semi-finals? We're about to find out...
Here come the teams! We are just a couple of minutes away from the kick-off.
It's been an entertaining contest thus far, with Man City just edging proceedings and deserving their goal from Bernardo Silva.
Both goalkeepers - plus Mangala - have not looked comfortable at all and we can surely expect more goals in the second half.
We'll bring you all the action from the remainder of this tie shortly...
The players are back out on the pitch. We're just about ready to go for the second half!
Vardy's late, late penalty has us set for another 30 minutes. Man City must rally again with this experimental line-up.
We're ready to get started again...
The two managers are dishing out plenty of encouragement in this short pause between the two halves of extra-time. Guardiola looks frantic as he instructs his players.
Who will keep their nerve now? Man City, chasing trophies on four fronts, are heading to penalties for the second consecutive round.
Here we go...
Leicester are first up with Fuchs.
GOAL! Fuchs smashes into the roof of the net. Superb penalty.
GOAL! Cool as you like from Gundogan to draw Man City level. Hamer goes the wrong way.
GOAL! Maguire follows suit and finds a similar part of the goal. We're level again. 2-2.
GOAL! And Hamer is sent the wrong way again as Toure picks out the bottom-left corner.
GOAL! Nmecha switches it up and finds the bottom-right. 3-3.
GOAL! Iborra finds the very same corner. No saves or misses so far.
GOAL! Gabriel Jesus, after missing against Tottenham on Saturday, scores this time.
MISS! Vardy hits the outside of the post! Advantage Man City. 3-4.
MISS! Bravo saves from Mahrez and that's it! Man City are through after a 5-3 penalty triumph!
Devastation for Leicester, but Man City's four-front challenge rolls on. Guardiola is loving it. He hugs each player and conducts the away fans.
So Man City join Arsenal in the last four. This team look unstoppable right now; even with so many players rested and with decisions going against Guardiola's men, Leicester could not knock the Premier League leaders out.
That's all from this one, where Man City are through to the last four of the League Cup. Thanks for joining us and, until next time, goodbye!
