Huge opportunity for Borini to make it 3-0! Space opens up for Calhanoglu as he charges into the left-hand side of the Roma penalty area and crosses. His pass over to the far post perfectly picks out Borini, but the on-loan winger somehow sends his first-time strike high over the crossbar.

87'
It looks as if a slightly overhit pass from Dzeko is going to roll out for a throw-in, but Peres does well to keep the ball in play before curling a cross into the heart of the penalty area. Romagnoli meets the ball but can only head it down to Defrel, who shoots but sends his quick effort comfortably wide of the goal.
85'
Roma are continuing to push as many bodies forward as possible, but as has been the case for most of the night, they're really struggling to carve out any clear-cut chances on goal. It's been a really disappointing evening for the Giallorossi.

Description
78'
Dzeko is caught late as he tries to break his way into the Milan penalty area, resulting in a free-kick for the home side in a very dangerous position. Kolarov's shot is poor, though, and he then fires a tame follow-up straight into the hands of Donnarumma.
76'
Calhanoglu almost makes it 3-0 to Milan! Suso twists and turns over on the right-hand side of the hosts' box before firing a low pass over to the far post. Calhanoglu sticks out a foot as he desperately tries to reach the ball, but he can't quite do so and Roma receive a huge let off.
74'
D. Calabria has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by N. Kalinić.
That was clever play by Kalinic, but Calabria did wonderfully well to take advantage of poor defending from the home side. Nobody tracked his run and a sleeping Peres was playing him onside.
GOAL! Milan have doubled their lead! Calabria cuts inside from the right wing and plays a wonderful one-two with Kalinic on the edge of the Roma box. He then bursts into the penalty area and lifts a delightful shot over Alisson and into the back of the net to make it 2-0. That's his first ever senior goal!
73'
G. Defrel enters the game and replaces C. Ünder.
Roma have made another switch, with Under making way for Defrel.

Calhanoglu sends a lovely pass over to Kalinic and sets up the Croatian to shoot, but Alisson pulls off a great save to deny him. The ball then bounces out to Romagnoli, who tries to unleash a follow-up but has the ball poked away from him by Manolas before he's able to do so.
71'
Roma have struggled to cause too many problems with crosses this evening, but Peres finally does well with a ball into the box from the right wing. It's well hit by the Brazilian and almost picks out Schick, who ruses towards the cross but can't quite reach it in front of goal.

Milan have made their first alteration of the evening, with Kalinic coming on to replace Cutrone up front.
66'
It also hasn't been the best of games for Under, who is trying his hardest to get involved over on the right wing but is struggling to do so. He receives the ball in a good position and crosses, but under pressure from two players he ends up firing his pass behind for a goal-kick.
64'
E. Džeko enters the game and replaces R. Nainggolan.
It hasn't been Nainggolan's day, and he's been replaced by Dzeko in an attacking alteration by Di Francesco.
63'
Brilliant goalkeeping by Donnarumma! A lovely cross from Kolarov bounces into the heart of the visitors' penalty area and causes problems for Romagnoli, who does well to meet it but can only knock the ball back to Schick. The striker looks to shoot, but he's dispossessed by a great diving stop from Donnarumma before he's able to do so.
62'
Poor touch by Under! A rare piece of sloppy play from Milan allows the Turkish youngster to pick up the ball on the right-hand side of the box, but he denies himself the opportunity to shoot with a dreadful first touch that is far too heavy.
61'
Fazio chips a cross down the right wing and into the path of Peres, who tries to take on Rodriguez but isn't able to find a way past the Switzerland international, allowing Milan to easily hold on once again.
59'

57'
Chance for Calhanoglu! Roma are pushing plenty of bodies forward, and it's leaving them incredibly open at the back. Suso speeds down the right flank on a wonderful run before cutting inside and picking out Calhanoglu, who breaks into the box and fires a low shot a few yards wide of the far post.
56'
Bonaventura fails to clear the danger fully from deep inside the Milan half of the pitch, presenting Roma with a really good opportunity to counter-attack. They can't make it count, though, as a cross into the box is slightly overhit and can't quite set up Under to shoot at the far post.
54'
Thumping shot from Kessie! Roma win themselves a corner, but it fails to come to anything and Milan immediately counter-attack. Kessie charges down the left flank before cutting inside and shooting from 20 yards out, and his rocket of a strike forces Alisson into making a good save.

48'
P. Cutrone has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by Suso.
GOAL! Milan have taken the lead! The Rossoneri enjoy an excellent start to the second half as they quickly go on the front foot. A lofted pass is fired up to Kessie, who nods the ball down well to Cutrone and sets up the striker to work it over to Suso. The Spaniard cuts inside and curls a lovely cross into the middle of the box, where Cutrone beats Manolas before sending a deft flick past Alisson.
Suso struggled to get into the game in the first half, but he was left in a pocket of space then and made Roma pay with a delightful ball into the penalty area. He put the ball on a plate for Cutrone!

We're underway once again!

45'
The fourth official has indicated that there will be just one minute of added time.

42'
After a period on the back foot, Milan are able to push forward once again as they try to carve out a chance on goal before the break. Suso tries to dance his way into the Roma box after good play out wide by Bonaventura, but Pellegrini is there to dispossess the Spaniard.
40'
Lovely play by Schick! The striker takes both Calabria and Biglia completely out of the game with a wonderful spin on the left-hand side of the Milan box. He then heads into the penalty area and looks to shoot, but Bonucci is there to dispossess the youngster with a well-timed sliding tackle.
38'
A rare pocket of space opens up between the Milan defence and midfield, allowing Pellegrini to pick up the ball and shoot. He shrugs off Biglia and unleashes a bouncing strike, but it isn't hit well enough to test Donnarumma and fails to hit the target.
36'
Roma are continuing to see most of the ball as they comfortably hold onto possession, but Milan are defending really well and are severely frustrating their opponents. The Rossoneri look incredibly well-organised, and it's making life really tough for the hosts.
34'
Pellegrini goes down inside the penalty area, but nothing is given! A lovely, curling cross from Kolarov flies over to the right-hand side of the visitors' box and finds Under, who quickly nods the ball down to Pellegrini. The midfielder tries to shoot, but he goes down to the ground before he's able to do so. He screams for a penalty, claiming Rodriguez caught him, but the referee isn't at all interested and waves play on.
32'
Fazio bursts deep into the Milan half of the pitch as Roma try to carve out a rare chance on goal, but he can't quite reach the box and has to settle for a corner. It's Kolarov who steps up and crosses, but Rodriguez is there to comfortably head the ball away from danger.
30'
Huge let off for Nainggolan! A poor pass from the midfielder can only find Calhanoglu, who immediately bursts into the Roma penalty area and looks to shoot. He can't quite do so, though, as Nainggolan rushes back and atones for his error by shepherding the ball behind for a goal-kick.
28'
Calabria has started well over on the right flank, where he's putting in a strong defensive display. Kolarov is trying his best to push forward and get himself into pockets of space, but he's struggling to get the better of the impressive youngster.
26'
Kolarov gets forward well once again before teeing up Perotti, who quickly crosses but has to settle for a corner. It's sent short and worked back to Kolarov, who also crosses but can't pick out a team-mate in front of goal.
24'
Great save by Donnarumma! Roma win themselves a free-kick over on the left flank, and it's whipped straight onto the head of Schick by Kolarov. The striker immediately unleashes a first-time volley that flies towards goal, but Donnarumma does really well to stop it before the linesman's flag is raised for offside.
22'
After dealing with the danger, Milan break forward on a quick counter-attack. Bonaventura charges deep into the Roma half of the pitch before trying to play a swift one-two with Cutrone, but the striker's pass over to the far post is slightly overhit and can't quite pick out the number five.

15'
Nainggolan is able to get back to his feet once again and play goes on while the Belgian continues to receive treatment. A quick pass is fired towards the visitors' box and into the feet of Pellegrini, but he can't control the ball well enough and knocks it out of play.
13'
Nainggolan is clattered into by Kessie, who catches the Roma midfielder in the side of the face and gives away a free-kick. The blow has left Nainggolan in a heap on the floor and in need of medical treatment.
11'
Poor from Kolarov! The full-back has impressed this season, but that really wasn't one of his better periods of play. He breaks down the left wing and gets himself into a good position before crossing, but he completely mishits his attempted pass and sends the ball flying behind for a goal-kick.
10'
A bit of space opens up for Perotti, who charges towards the edge of the Milan penalty area and shoots. His strike isn't quite good enough to beat Donnarumma, however, as it's fired straight into the hands of the young goalkeeper.
8'
Kolarov darts down the left wing and swings a cross towards the edge of the visitors' box, where it picks out Pellegrini. The midfielder controls it well and knocks the ball back to Nainggolan, who quickly unleashes a shot but can't quite guide his strike through the sea of white shirts in front of him.
6'
The set-piece is sent short and worked over to Under, who curls a deep cross into the Roma penalty area and over to the far post. The ball is quickly nodded down and picks out Perotti, who shoots but can't quite hit the target with his low effort.
5'
Decent strike by Under! Roma patiently knock the ball around as they try to find a way into the Milan box. They aren't quite able to do so but Under is able to unleash a great strike from 20 yards out, and it's one that Donnarumma, who is celebrating his 19th birthday, tips behind for a corner.
3'
Sloppy play by Roma deep inside their own half of the pitch presents Calhanoglu to break into the penalty area and try and get a shot away, but he has the ball poked away from under his nose just as he's about to pull the trigger.
1'
We're off! Roma get us underway, attacking from right to left.
Almost an early chance for Roma! The home side immediately go on the front foot and set up Perotti over on the left wing, where he swings a delightful cross into the middle of the box. It looks set to find Schick in front of goal, but Romagnoli is just about able to clear the danger before it can do so.
Good evening and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Serie A game between Roma and AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico.
A revitalised Milan side head into tonight’s big clash looking to continue their march towards the top four, and they’ll be aiming to get the better of one of their main rivals for a place in next season’s Champions League. The Rossoneri have thoroughly impressed in recent weeks, resulting in them embarking on their best run of form across all competitions since March 2016 and setting them up perfectly for this evening’s hugely important game.
Only Udinese have managed to hold Milan to a draw since the start of the year, and it’s now over two months since they last tasted defeat in Serie A. Sixth-place Sampdoria were the latest league side to lose to Gennaro Gattuso’s in-form team, who, after exhibiting plenty of worryingly bad defending at the start of the season, have conceded just one goal in their previous six games.
Fellow top four chasers Roma will be hoping that last weekend’s win away to Udinese was a sign of things to come, as the Giallorossi seem to have returned to form domestically after suffering a worrying six game winless run heading into February. They’ve now won three on the bounce in the league, and they desperately need to keep that good run going tonight as they try to get some points on the board before travelling to leaders Napoli next week.
It hasn’t been entirely plain-sailing for Eusebio Di Francesco’s side, though, as they suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat away to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League during the week that highlighted the frailties that still exist. They’ll no doubt be looking to Cengiz Under this evening, as the in-form youngster has bagged five goals in his last four appearances and could prove to be the difference between the two teams tonight.
It’s the home side who have dominated this fixture in recent years, which, considering Milan’s recent struggles, isn’t entirely surprising. October’s meeting at San Siro ended 2-0 thanks to goals from Edin Dzeko and Alessandro Florenzi, and it’s now almost two years since the Rossoneri last beat the club from the capital. Their last win against the Giallorossi away from home came in October 2011, and since then they’ve tasted defeat six times.
There’s just under 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up tonight…
Roma substitutes: Juan Jesus, Edin Dzeko, Elio Capradossi, Daniele De Rossi, Bogdan Lobont, Gregoire Defrel, Alessandro Florenzi, Lukasz Skorupski, Gerson, Jonathan Silva, Stephan El Shaarawy.
Milan XI (4-3-3): Gianluigi Donnarumma; Davide Calabria, Leonardo Bonucci, Alessio Romagnoli, Ricardo Rodriguez; Franck Kessie, Lucas Biglia, Giacomo Bonaventura; Suso, Patrick Cutrone, Hakan Calhanoglu.
Milan substitutes: Jose Mauri, Nikola Kalinic, Andre Silva, Fabio Borini, Gustavo Gomez, Cristian Zapata, Riccardo Montolivo, Ignazio Abate, Mateo Musacchio, Manuel Locatelli, Alessandro Guarnone, Antonio Donnarumma.
Roma XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Bruno Peres, Kostas Manolas, Federico Fazio, Aleksandar Kolarov; Lorenzo Pellegrini, Kevin Strootman, Radja Nainggolan; Cengiz Under, Patrick Schick, Diego Perotti.
Eusebio Di Francesco has decided to make three changes to the Roma side that lost against Shakhtar during the week, with the most notable inclusion being Schick, who comes into the starting line-up to replace Dzeko up front. Meanwhile, Peres and Pellegrini are preferred to Florenzi and De Rossi.
Meanwhile, Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso has made six alterations to the team that featured in their last outing, with Abate, Zapata, Locatelli, Montolivo, Borini and Silva making way for Calabria, Bonucci, Biglia, Bonaventura, Suso and Calhanoglu, respectively.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: ROMA 0-0 MILAN
It's been an intriguing tactical battle so far, and it's one that, at the moment, Milan are arguably just about winning. The visitors look much better defensively than they did earlier in the season, and it's made this evening a really tough one for their opponents. Roma have seen plenty of the ball but are struggling to do much with it, as they seem to be lacking that spark inside the final third of the pitch.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
FULL-TIME: ROMA 0-2 MILAN
What a win for Milan, and what a performance to make it possible! That was arguably the best they've played all season, and they deservedly leave the Stadio Olimpico with three much-needed points. It's moved them equal on points with sixth-place Sampdoria and set them up perfectly for next weekend's Milan derby. That promises to be an absolutely fascinating clash!
