Description

Kane, who has been very quiet since his goal, does well to slide the ball through Dann's legs but he is then just beaten to the ball by Guaita.

Beautiful play from Zaha as he spins his man and then switches the play before the attack fades away.
70'

McArthur is off for Riedewald. He's played well today.
67'
A Palace free-kick is well defended by Tottenham but they then lose possession wastefully. This is anyone's game!
65'
Bergwijn has just brought down Zaha 30 yards out from goal. Good position for a Palace free-kick.
63'
Palace don't look ready to settle for a point as they continue to drive forward into the Tottenham half.

It's game on now and Tottenham immediately have a bit more urgency to their play. Lucas is making some useful forward runs in behind.
53'
J. Schlupp has scored a goal for Crystal Palace! Assist by J. Ayew.
Goal! It's 1-1! Palace go long with the corner and the ball is knocked back in. It's a little scrappy but Schlupp finds himself in space and hammers a sweet finish into the roof of the net.
During the melee Ayew managed to work the ball to Schlupp inside the box although I'm not sure that was his intention. It looked like he was shooting but he won't care!
51'
Palace win a corner.

This time Lucas manages to spin Mitchell who gives him a little tug and it's a yellow card.

HALF-TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 0-1 TOTTENHAM
44'
Kouyate, who has spent most of his career in midfield, has looked assured in the heart of Palace's defence so far.
42'
Kane does really well to shrug off two defenders and hold up the ball before recycling. Good old fashioned centre-forward play there.
41'
When Tottenham get on the ball Palace immediately move into a compact defensive shape. Despite being behind, Hodgson will be satisfied with the way his team are performing.
40'
Kane is giving the referee a real earful, he's not happy about something. Was it to do with a tussle between Zaha and Sissoko a couple moments ago?
38'
Ayew seems to be dropping slightly deeper for Palace now and that is helping them as he is able to connect play and create space for Zaha and Townsend.
35'
Schlupp is very lucky not to pick up a card as he comes in late and clears out Aurier.
34'
Since their goal Tottenham haven't had much of a threat and Palace are really growing into this game. Their players are starting to play in tighter spaces to create room to cross the ball in.
30'
Although Palace's forwards look good when they get on the ball they are really isolated from their midfielders who are sending a lot of hopeful balls down the channel.
28'
Ayew is a very skilful player. He rolls the ball a couple times before standing up Alderweireld to win a foul.
25'
The players resume and Schlupp quickly wins a corner.
24'
The players pause for a drinks break.
20'
An incredible battle between Aurier and Zaha eventually leads to a Palace corner as Aurier slides in.
19'
There have been some sparkly moments from Lucas so far and he does really well to find some space and square a ball to Son whose shot is then well blocked.
18'
A poor first touch from Townsend sees Palace lose possession cheaply and Tottenham get a throw-in.
17'
J. McCarthy gets yellow.
It's a straightforward yellow for McCarthy who hauls his man down after losing the ball cheaply.
16'
The Tottenham players look like they've been instructed to press hard today as Son and Kane work well together to pressure McCarthy.
13'
H. Kane has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by G. Lo Celso.
Goal! 1-0 Tottenham! It's a typical Harry Kane finish as he takes one touch inside past the defender before arrowing it into the bottom corner.
Lo Celso did really well to draw some defenders in before squeezing a clever ball through the box for Kane to pounce on.
10'
Davies has been one of Tottenham's best players so far and is constantly looking to get forward on the left flank.
9'
The majority of the football has been played in the Palace half in this opening spell but that won't trouble Roy Hodgson. His forwards have shown they are ready to break quickly.
7'
Ayew goes on a fantastic run through the heart of the Tottenham midfield but the attack then fizzles out. He showed beautiful balance and skill there.
5'
Son and McArthur are both scrapping for the ball in midfield before McArthur eventually gives away the foul. Both sides look up for it!
3'
Zaha collects the ball just inside his own half but is immediately swarmed by Tottenham players and he then gives away a free-kick. Mourinho will want him watched closely this afternoon.
2'
After a couple of quick tussles Tottenham are settling into the game with some early possession.

And we're underway!
For Palace, four straight wins either side of the league's coronavirus-enforced break offered very brief hope of a challenge for European football. Unfortunately for the Eagles, seven straight defeats mean this season has somewhat petered out and no doubt left Roy Hodgson breathing a sigh of relief that his side already had ample points on the board. Palace could leap a place to 13th with a win and cannot finish any lower than their current standing of 14th. Team news coming up shortly.
Spurs are aiming to secure the three points that could see them finish in sixth and guarantee a Europa League berth, with Wolves - a point and a place above - facing off against Chelsea. Seventh may still be enough for Tottenham to feature in Europe next term if Chelsea beat Arsenal in the FA Cup final.
