Hello and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between West Ham United and Everton at London Stadium.
David Moyes enters the contest under huge pressure in the West Ham dugout. The Hammers have failed to win any of their last seven Premier League outings, including their 1-0 defeat to Wolves last time out. Moyes needs some magic from his team against his old club, but it will not be straightforward. West Ham begin the day in the relegation zone and need to stem the tide to turn momentum back in their favour.
Frank Lampard is under just as much pressure as Moyes as his Everton side sit 19th in the Premier League table. The Toffees are winless in their last seven Premier League matches, and their latest defeat at the hands of Southampton last time out elevated the feeling of frustration among the Everton fanbase. They need a result to lift the gloom on the blue half of Merseyside and can ill afford to show mercy to their former manager.
WEST HAM (3-4-3): Lukasz Fabinaski; Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, Angelo Ogbonna; Vladimir Coufal, Declan Rice, Lucas Paqueta, Emerson; Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio, Said Benrahma.
WEST HAM SUBS: Ben Johnson, Aaron Cresswell, Pablo Fornals, Manuel Lanzini, Flynn Downes, Alphonse Areola, Danny Ings, Thilo Kehrer, Tomas Soucek.
EVERTON (3-4-3): Jordan Pickford; Yerry Mina, Conor Coady, James Tarkowski; Seamus Coleman, Amadou Onana, Idrissa Gueye, Vitaly Mykolenko; Alex Iwobi, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Demarai Gray.
EVERTON SUBS: Mason Holgate, Dwight McNeil, Anthony Gordon, Asmir Begovic, Neal Maupay, Tom Davies, Ruben Vinagre, Ellis Simms, Isaac Price.
There is a moment of applause before kick-off in remembrance of David Gold.
West Ham have command of the game, which will force Everton's hand in the second half. Lampard's team were passive in the opening 40 minutes and it has come back to haunt them. Iwobi was unlucky before the whistle to strike the post, but Everton need to up the ante in the second half to get back into the contest.
West Ham are next in action in the FA Cup fourth round against Derby County on the road. Everton have a two-week break ahead of their next home match against Arsenal in the Premier League.
Thanks for joining our commentary today. Until next time, goodbye.
